Noise from passenger side rear area...

So today I took the DSG out for a little loop. When I backed out the driveway, I heard a clear clunk everytime the wheel seemed to rotate. After going forward it seemed to have stopped. A short time later, the same wheel started making a distinct tapping noise again. I found that when I load the driver's side it goes away, but when I load the passengers side it remains. However, it clearly seems to be coming from the rear. :cuss:

I have heard people mention some sort of broken trunk weld causing a clunking noise, but does it coincide with the wheel rotation? from vibration? I inspected the trunk area and didn't notice anything obvious.

Any ideas?

Good info in there, I saved it for later reference. However, nothing in there seems to fit my situation. I'll check the torque specs on everything they recommend but I am thinking its the rear hub? Thoughts?

Im thinking its a bearing on the rear hub. Jack up the car and see if you have any movement in the wheel at 6 & 12 o'clock and 9 & 3 o'clock.
