Painters tape residue stuck on my car

Hey guys, I tape my car up for my long haul to mustang week and when I took it off when I got home it left residue from the tape. I used clay bar, goo gone and quick detailer and it will not come out. its smooth if I run my fingers across it but its still physically there. Anything else I can try?

Sure this is painters tape? It has very little adhesive to it, so, there should not be much residue. Was this left in direct sunlight? If so, could be a mild imprint on the paint from the tape.

ill try and get a pic. It was on the car for the drive to and from MW. which is a 16 hour drive each way. 100% sure it was painters tape.

Be sure the photo you take is a close-up for detail. I'd be surprised if it was painter's tape residue.

Did you try WD-40 and a soft cloth?

Seems like wd-40 did the trick..won’t know til I get it into the sun tho.
