Voodoo oil consumption: 1100miles = from max to min

At 3000 miles one qt down ..... change the oil and am now doing a oil consumption test. At 4000 miles the car ate another 1/2 qt.
At 5000 miles the car used an additional 1/2 qt or a total of 1 qt. over 2000 miles. The dealership I work at put a quart in and toped it off and I will still ne monitering the situation over the next several thousand miles or so.

How long after you turn off the engine are you checking the oil? Modern engines seem to take longer to drain the oil back down to the pan.

Shop let it sit for over 30 minutes .... closer to a hour
