Not even players have a clue these days. I met Brandon Jacobs on Thursday and he said it's all good, that the lockout was over. I asked him if it's just a temp-deal, he was like "Nah, we can do everything now, full access"

Next day, judge reinstated the lockout.....

Nice. He's pretty big huh? You meet him at a club in Northern Jersey?

He is like 6.2, barely taller than me, but he is as wide as a standard door frame. I met him in Edgewater by the local Starbucks/Motorcycle/Exotic car(at times) gathering place. Him and Josh Boon of NJ Nets, real down to earth folks, talking about haggling on the gtr's, funny shit.

Bengals picking up Green and Dalton made them a solid team. Carson pretty much retiring and Chad not coming back most likely.

lol, you got a receiver with no QB to throw to him....

poor AJ Green, a good talent wideout on a piece of garbage team, and an idiot in Mike Brown running it, and another moron in Marv Lewis coaching it. what a cluster ****. it's like watching a train wreck, Bengals can't Bungle out of their own way. :lol1:

Andy Dalton is a great QB and I think will do very well at the professional level, but I'm a little biased because I played with him in highschool :coolman:

For the Mississippi and Florida guys:

Bars to give out free beer in lockout | Yardbarker.com

There's happy hour and then there's this.

Beef 'O' Brady's locations in both Florida and Mississippi have been running an NFL lockout promotion of epic proportions, where customers receive free beer as long as there's a lockout. The promotion offers customers a minute of free beer for every day that has passed since March 11.

This week, happy customers got 61 minutes of free suds on Tuesday -- the 61st day of the lockout.

"I just look at it as a marketing cost," owner Bob Thunelius told NBC Sports.

The free beer begins at 4 p.m., but Coors Light and Miller Lite fans beware: it's only and always Bud Light.

"Yesterday, we gave away about six free pitchers and luckily there hasn't been anyone coming in just to drink free beer," Thunelius said.

Pretty cool of them, might have to take advantage of this.

Not sure where I stand on the Cowboys draft. Wanted a corner, but from everything I've heard Smith is a proven lineman and great athlete. From there, it seems like gambles. I like Carter from UNC and I loathe all our running backs so regardless I like the Demarco Murray pick. The corner is supposed to be a value pick but he prove that to me in the regular season.

Broncos with Von Miller was a smart pick
Cards with Peterson was a smart pick.

Am I the only one who thinks Atlanta gave up a lot for a reciever who isn't AJ Green and unproven?

ps. didn't bother to spell check anything

lol, tyrod taylor wasn't worth a shit to begin with at Va Tech. overrated, and underachieving, interception prone, thinks he's the next Michael Vick. reality check coming soon, when he gets cut and doesn't make an active roster during the next 4 seasons, then he'll go on to either sell insurance or crack. /end story

those "stupid ****s" are about to take those stupid **** owners to court. where they WILL WIN, and the owners will settle. now stop crying about people who make more money than you, and continue on practicing field goals

regardless, the owners are going to lose if the injunction goes through. because whether you, the owners, or this thread's resident field goal kicker want to face facts or not, the law is on the player's side. don't believe me? do some research on how the 1995 MLB strike ended. go look up how quickly the owners settled once the players won their injunction.

here's what will happen:

the injunction hearings start on April 6th, if the players win the injunction, the NFL is open for business, presumably under last years rules. that means the players will get their game checks come August. At that point, there's no reason for the players to give in, and the owners no longer hold the leverage of holding out until the season starts.

then the players file their antitrust suit. do you know what the penalty is if the owners lose the antitrust suit (they will). the players would be entitled to 3x whatever their claiming in the suit. if they claim last years total player salary, the owners would be liable to pay out 3 TIMES $4.4 billion.

.....but it will never make it that far. why? because a court will order the owners to open their books. the owners in response will almost instantly turn to settle in exchange for the players retracting their suit.

how do i know? (hint, if you research how the 1995 MLB strike ended you'd know)

and just to be clear. this is the only time i've been on the player's side on something like this. i was on the owners side during the NHL issues, and the MLB's issues. and when the NBA eventually gets to this point, i'll also be in favor of the owners. because that entire league is out of whack

Sorry SVTSMO, you were wrong on many accounts.

Court rules in favor of the Owners, Lockout is Legal. Players lose. Owners have the leverage.

Pacman Jones arrested from a d&d bar incident. What a shocking surprise...

Pacman Jones charged after bar arrest

ESPN.com news services
Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested at a bar late Saturday night for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

Four months after settling a case that punctuated a slew of off-the-field trouble for the 27-year-old NFL veteran, he was taken into custody on the misdemeanors after being repeatedly asked to leave a Cincinnati bar for rowdy behavior, WKRC-TV has reported, citing court documents.

Pacman Jones, booked into jail late Saturday night, has been recovering from a herniated disk in his neck suffered in Week 7 last fall that required surgery, but he was expecting to play this season.
Jones was jailed around 3 a.m. Sunday and released later in the morning.

Two police officers were forced to physically restrain Jones to apply handcuffs as he fought to pull away, the TV report says. Jones had been yelling profanities and waving his arms violently, according to WKRC-TV.

Jones, who wears a neck brace as a result of an injury suffered last season, denied the allegations in an interview with WCPO-TV after leaving jail.

"I just had surgery, so why would I be resisting arrest?" Jones said.

He said he hadn't been drinking and was out with his wife to celebrate her birthday.

"It's ridiculous, man," Jones told the TV station. "I keep on going through the same thing, and it don't make no sense."

He also apologized to his fans and said he loves Cincinnati.

"Only thing I can do is be me and do what I'm supposed to do, but I was not yelling at the police. I did not yell profanity at the police. And at the end of the day ... I'm the bad guy," he said.

A Bengals spokesman said the team had no comment when contacted by The Associated Press. The team is prohibited from having contact with Jones because of the NFL lockout.

Jones has been recovering from a herniated disk in his neck suffered in Week 7 last fall that required surgery, but he was expecting to play this season.

Jones played five games last year for the Bengals before the injury, notching 11 tackles and an interception.

Walker: What now for Jones, Bengals?
Pacman Jones' recent arrest puts both himself and the Bengals, who were counting on him to possibly play a major role this season, in a tough spot, ESPN.com's James Walker writes. Blog

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has stated that players will still be subject to review and discipline under the personal-conduct policy for potential violations during the lockout.

In late February, Jones was sentenced in Las Vegas to probation and 200 hours of community service under a plea deal for his role in a 2007 strip club melee.

Jones received a suspended sentence and was also ordered to receive anger management counseling. The sentence required Jones to undergo random drug testing.

Jones was Tennessee's first-round pick in 2005. Six arrests and a dozen instances involving police intervention scuttled his career. He was suspended for the 2007 season with Tennessee. The Cowboys signed him, but he was suspended for six games in 2008 for an alcohol-related scuffle with a bodyguard provided by the team.

He sat out for a year before signing a two-year deal with Cincinnati in May 2010. Police there questioned him last fall after he drove his vehicle over a downtown curb to avoid an obstacle and then apologized to him, saying it was a mistake and he'd done nothing wrong.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
