So are the NT05's sticker than the NT-555R's?? I didn't think too much of the 555R's on the street and really didn't care for them at the track. Just ordered a set of the 315 NT05's and i'm hoping for some improvement.

Im running the 275/35/20 up front. Any idea where I could find the 275/40/20? I need tires badly. Thanks

All Nitto tires in the 275/40-20 size are hard to come by right now. I'm not sure where you would be able to locate a new pair without paying an arm and a leg for them.

We do have a pair of 275/35-20 NT05's in stock though so it may not be a bad idea to run the same size on all 4 corners.

The NT05 is not a DOT approved Drag Radial like the NT555R and NT05R which utilize an R-Compound rubber. They do hook up well off the line however for being a dedicated max performance tire. Give em' a shot

Tire size 305/35-18 shouldn't be run on a wheel narrower that 10". That being said, the 275/40-18 NT05 on all 4 corners looks like the best option.

thanks matt for the info. actually the rear tire size should have been 295-35-18 on a 9.5'' rim, which is probably not recommended either.

The minimum approved rim width range for tire size 295/35-18 is 10". This size is a little short for your application. IMO, the 275/40-18 will give you both looks and handling.

Haven't read all the pages here, but are there any deals going on for these? Thanks.

There are no current promotions running on Nitto tires at this time. We do however guarantee the lowest delivered price on all the products we carry. If a competitor ever has a cheaper advertsed delivered price, we'll beat it!

I just ordered a set of nt05's 315x35x17 and a pair of 10.5 wheels for my cobra. It is a street car, will post results when the weather warms up!

These tires are awesome! Perfect for my power level, will be my new tire of choice!!

I have them and love them.

-Good turn-in response and feel.
-Tires are very predictable
-Wet traction was better than exptected.
-Poor traction when tires/conditions are cold. (was expected with power level)
-Tires start to get noisey after some mileage.

Not sure what Im going to put on the car next, I will probably put NT05s on again.

I have the NT05s on my 03 Cobra in 275/40-17 front (stock wheels) with 315/35-17 rear (17x10.5 replicas). This was a switch from the original stock 275/40-17 Goodyear Egale F1s all around.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The ride is LIGHTYEARS better, cornering grip is phenomenal (I just drive aggressively down twisty canyon roads, no track time), much less road noise (not important, but something to note). Straight-line traction is great, but the car is stock power-wise. I don't drive the car in the rain, and put about 2000-2500 miles per year on it, so wear isn't an issue. But I love these tires and will be getting them on my 06 GT and my 03 GT DD when they need new ones. I definitely recommend these to everyone I can.

Now, can Nitto work on getting some NT05s in stock sizes for the '12-'13 Boss 302? I want these tires when I get my Boss!

I was thinking of using the same setup as B7SlownSnake above. But has anyone mixed the 555 fronts with the NT05 rears? I want the NT05 to reduce wheel hop, but I'd consider a less sticky in front to reduce paint damage. Any thougths?
