I can't believe I was actually considering selling my beloved cobra a couple months ago... Just had an awesome car show this past weekend in Columbia, IL. Unfortunately Class 8 (the 1970 to modern modified cars) got screwed in that we were thrown in unintentionally with the 1950-1969 crew. It was some sort of administrative missup on their behalf. And the winner of the 1970 to present modified car is the 1969 camaro ss. Wait, what.... a 69 in a 70 class. hmm. I just paid $20 to compete against a 69 camaro, dammit lol.

Secondly, I love looking on this site, at least 2-3 daily. Its always awesome seeing what everyone is doing to their cars whether it be a build, a restoration, or whatever. Rock on my cobra brothers  I wish some of you guys were in the st. louis, mo area so we could go cruising.

I was seriously considering getting something newer, but decided I'll be keeping the 96. Sure, it's starting to show its age a bit, but I'll spring for a paint job and very occasional repair before taking on a car payment any day.

There are actually quite a few St. Louis local members on here. And there is a HUGE local cruise taking place this Sunday. Go to stlmustangs.com click on the meetings/gatherings section and you can't miss the thread about it.

I just wish there was somebody making replacement parts for our cars ie throttle cables etc so I wouldn't have to worry about keeping it on the road without extraordinary measures.
