ouch, 1.5 years, i guess all that matters is that our rides work now

Congrats at keeping with it!

thanks, much appreciated

thank, MMR stepped up, i was definitely worried about how it was going to be handled. Its nice in business when people take responsibility for their work and take pride in their name, you almost expect to get shafted sometimes. Nergal and Mark at MMR were great, and this isn't some ad or plug for MMR, but if i went through the alternatives that I could have gone through to fix this thing, (pay for a new motor or parts, cover shipping, and just dealing with a dispute for months) I was gonna be out of pocket and possibly bail on the project. They earned my respect and my continued business.

Awesome news that it's back up and running. I can't wait to see what it puts down with 18lbs.

Have you thought about putting a crusher setup on it?

Yeah 18lbs should be fun, as for the crusher, it was a thought, but my question is how much am i really going to pick up with the crusher? I mean for just under 2 grand for the kit, thats steep. This is no drag car, i think with the current setup there is still tons of room to grow and its still making stupid power.

There's been more than a few guys in the past that have slung MMR through the mud about various complaints, they ALL need to read this Thread! Talk about customer service, Big Props! And talk about an unassuming Vert, Nice Sleeper!

Its a funny thing, i got the exacy same combo from mmr, i had less than 20 miles on my new engine, the exact same thing happened..broken valve spring and lost all compression.. i called mmr they said they never heard of this before, i said to nergel are u sure u never heard of this , his reply was def never had any issues with the comp springs and turned me away and told me to call comp directly. i called the rep and explained what happened she told me that there is def no problems with their beehive springs and charged me $98 for a single spring shipped to me , now that was terrible customer service, i have no faith in any comp products at all.... i would rather someone would be upfront if they had problems with a certain product than try to pass the puck.. it aint a cheap repair when a engine drops a valve due to garbage springs.. MMR passed the puc in my case, never even offered to give me a single spring....very true.....not impressed....luckily my piston never got smashed up all i had to do was replace one spring....

Sorry to hear bout that. Seems like MMR is picking up on customer service. Did you purchase the warranty they offer. Not sure if it was available during time of your build. Brutal Metal is correct in the past there was quite unhappy customers but lately not so much. Warranty is only 300$ from them, it could save your ass in the long run. Curious as to what it covers and for how long.

yes i got a warranty on the shortblock...they sold the cams and the cam gears and springs separate, the only reason why i was not happy is because they told me they never had trouble with their springs before...its quite clear they did....ive learned that lots of people had beehive spring problems....
