Well I had some squeaking noise comming out off my driverside wheel. It started small and with time got worse and like you said only when turning. Turned out to be the hub.
Hope it helps op

My issue isn't only when turning. Even when going straight.
Nonetheless thanks for the info.

So I finally got a chance to take a look at everything again.
I was getting some play when moving the passenger side tire at 12 and 6.
After closer inspection I found out the bolts between the strut and the spindle were loose.
The only thing that crosses my mind is the alignment shop forgot to tighten the bolts when they finished. :dw::shrug:
I tightened the bolts which fixed some of the vibration I was getting from 45-55mph.
But I still have the squeaking noise.
Anyone have anyother ideas?

Just an outside idea... but, could the sidewall of your tire be contacting the shock or splash guard? I had a squeak when turning left, turned out to be the splash shield had came loose. Just an idea for you to try.

I have the exact same issue you're talking about as well. It started a little while after I put new pads and rotors on my car so I'm thinking the issue is related to that. My noise comes from the driver's side wheel area though and only happens when I'm making a turn left as well, no matter how slight of a turn it is. I'm hopeful I'll be able to work on it tomorrow and report back if I find anything.

I will take a look at that also although when I was looking at the hub I didnt see anyting rubbing. Either way thanks for the idea.

That would be great
My issue didnt happen after changing pads and rotors but happened after getting on the brakes pretty hard in the twisties. Im wondering if I glazed the pads and/or rotors?

Any update?

Sorry, not yet. The time I thought I would have this weekend was spent doing other stuff around the house so I wasn't able to get to it. I will be certain to update this though when I'm able to work on it and if I find anything.

I would recommend not putting lube on the back side of the pads because the noise is usually caused by the pad lightly touching against the rotor not the caliper. Instead you can put a brake antisqueek compound that you spray on from a can. it gets kind of sticky and basically holds the pad to the caliper rather than letting it float and touch the rotor, which can give a squeek type noise. Also they make a chemical you can put directly on the pad that helps with noise. Not sure if it will affect brakes for road racing stuff though? Also if you look at the rotors and the finish looks a little shiny they are glazed. If it isn't too bad you can use a rotary tool with like a red colored circular emery cloth type material on it and take the glaze off the rotors by going in small circular patterns.
If you need a pic of what I'm talking about here,
Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning Discs :: Non-Woven Abrasives :: Abrasives :: ARTCO - American Rotary Tools Company
This is the stuff i like to put on the back side of the pads that I described above,
Wurth Brake Anti-Squeal Spray - 089311002 - IDParts.com

and this is the stuff that you apply to the surface of the pad.
Welcome To Husky Brake Anti Squeak

I use the 3 inch disc with my air rotary tool. and make sure you do both the inside and outside of the rotor.
Good luck man.

That sounds like a hub. My hub started to make noise when turning but eventually it was doing it when driving straight and finally it did it all the time. Then I replaced it.

***UPDATE***

Well I just got done trying to fix mine. I ended up taking the caliper and rotor off. I cleaned the hub with a wire brush to get any surface rust off and did the same to the back and front side of the rotor where the rim and hub contacat it. Then I sprayed everything down with brake cleaner and put it back together. I took it for a quick drive and didn't notice any squeak so I'm hoping that it was just something simple like that. There was absolutely no play in the hub itself.

Thanks for the update. I will give that a try too. I have no play in my hub either which is why I'm thinking its not the hub. But, I'm no experinced mechanic.

Update:

I tried cleaning all of the pad, rotor, and hub surfaces like Evan5469 but the squeak is still there.
Now I have the squeaking almost all of the time just like SomeSoldier.
I just received two new Timken hubs with new nuts. Will putting them on in the next few days and will report back.
