In a strange twist of fate search teams looking for the pinging black box will realize they found a thought to be extinct deep ocean life form that makes the exact sound a pinging black box makes...but only once every few days.

Seriously, it will truly epic if they actually find the box rewarding all the international team's hard work...and giving the victim's families closure. I hope they do.

Said the same thing to my wife. Wouldn't it be insane if they discovered some new species of fish that makes the exact same noise as the black box....

And i agree. Hope this is it for the families sake

SO.....pings have likely ended. Underwater search begins. Wagers on how long before they find the wreckage?? I say before summer ends.

lol @ people thinking theyre going to find an intact plane down there.

A plane isnt designed to withstand those pressures, it turned itself into a tin can by 4k feet. at 14,000' mark, theres not much left but the black box which is designed to withstand such pressures.

They will recover the black box, maybe take a few snapshots of the site with a ROV and use that to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

And all thats based off of finding anything at all, which seems to be very unlikely at this point. They havent even found a single piece of wreckage at the surface. Even if that plane glided into the ocean under the best scenario (ie like the hudson one), by now pieces of it would have floated to the surface that broke off during its descent into the depths of the ocean.

When i was referring to wreckage, that wasn't to say they'll find the plane in tact. I was mostly referring to various parts of the plane as well as the black box. I think they were so far off for so long in the beginning of the search that whatever debris was on the surface has scattered and is well far off from where these pings are.

If the plane stayed together after the water landing and sank relatively intact it wouldn't change much after that. Once water fills the cabin the water pressure is the same inside and out.

Im no genius, or scientist, but this makes pretty good sense to me. The crushing comes when the pressure outside is greater than inside because air being inside. Take the milk jug as an example.

Hope they find something, news says its most important to find the black box to find out what happened... but I say its most important to the families to have closure and may send their loved ones off properly.

this plane, could very well be prepp'd as we speak with explosives for another attack against the US. one day it will just show up on radar heading towards a US target...they will lead us to believe that the plane is full of passengers which will make an intercepting strike pilot to hesitate about shooting it down.

I've been saying this all along, seriously they can go into ****ing space but they can't find waldo at the bottom of the ocean???
