275/35/18 front with 315/30 rear...how does it look?

I've got a set of new 275/35/18 MT Street Comps for the front with my new wheels, and I have some 335s for the rear, but decided against rolling my fenders...so I either have to settle for narrower 305/35s, or go with the shorter sidewall 315/30. I know the overall height of the rears I want (R888) are 25.5" (3.72" sidewall) and the fronts I have are 25.6" (with a 3.79" sidewall height)...does anyone else run this setup, and how does it look? I know the height difference is minuscule, but I'm kind of OCD and fear it would piss me off looking at it every day if it was really noticeable. I'm also lowered on stock springs 3/4 coil front, 1 full coil in the rear.

So...if anyone has this setup, could you please post up some profile views of the car?

There wont be that much difference. I run the extreme opposite 295/30/18 on 10.5. i would pick 305/35, closes to stock is 315/30.

with a 305/35 or a 315/30 R888 you will need to roll the fenders regardless

I opted to run the 305/35 and regret it, I should have gone 315/30 as it looks better to me

Based on everything I've read, I was under the impression that 305/35/18 definitively did not require fender rolling, just low profile IRS bolts...the 315 seems questionable from what I've read.

I had 305/35/18 r888s with h&r sport springs with 1 ISO in the rear and I never rolled my fenders. 35 sidewall looks a billion times better than a 30. 30 looks like a rubber band

I had 275/35 and 335/30 and you couldn't tell their were slightly different. I got rid of that set up and went 295 now

I actually have 335/30s but don't want to roll my fenders to use them...the 335/30 actually has more sidewall than a 275/35 by about 20/100ths of an inch, which is perfect. However the 315/30 is shorter in actual measurement, that's why I want to see it on someone else's car.

A 275/35/18 with a 315/30 in the rear will not look right. The front tire will be taller, and will look funny.

Your best bet would be running a 265/35/18 in the front instead, that will look a lot better if you must have a 315/30. Otherwise I would recommend a 305/35.

I guess there's a reason nobody has 275/35 and 315/30s...must look funny even though they're close!

I think I'm just going to pony up for the more expensive and narrower 305/35s. I looked at selling all the tires I bought and doing the 265/35 thing up front with the 315/30s, but those 265/35s are definitely too low profile for my liking.

Deleted because inaccurate, that rear is listed at 25.6" tall.

Honestly if you or anyone can notice a tenth of an inch on 25" you have an amazing eye. Over time though the difference will grow as the rears are bound to wear faster.

The 305/35/18 is 26.3" tall which would give a slight rake/ come close to leveling out over time as it wears.

The width difference is so small it'd be hard to notice, if you can appreciate a slight rake go with the 305.

That tire will perform so well that it's a non issue if it's 305 or 315. It runs very wide as well.

When I picked up my 315 toyo tq drag radials, a buddy was getting his 315/30/18 r888's and we found the r888 was almost 3/4" wider than my tires. Like 12.5" toyo tq vs 13.25" r888. I might be remembering it wrong. Toyo lists them as 11.5" and 11.8" but I remember it being a bigger difference. So much so I almost returned my tq's and got r888's but there was a 25% restocking fee so I kept my tq's. I don't know how accurate the size specs are online.

We didn't measure sidewall height, but mine are listed at 26.4" tall, and his were a hair taller. This was unmounted bare tire in plastic wrap.

Oh, I know how the 305/35 looks on the 11", there are countless threads on them. I know I'll be happy with the 275/35 on the fronts because of Brandon03s setup with the same wheels. Like I said in the original post, I was looking for a picture of car running 275/35 fronts and 315/30 rears...but it doesn't matter now, I'm 100% doing the 305/35s!

with my CCW's 18x11 and low pro bolts, the r888's rubbed. I was pissed...but is what it is.

CCW told me I wouldn't need to roll...but I did. I bet if I had gotten the shorter 315/30's I would have been fine.
