Promise dates on 350's?

Anyone get a build date yet? I'm going to a local dealer tomorrow to place my order and spec my build...magnetic grey with black stripes and track pack. Paying allocation fee of $1000 over sticker...just wondering if it will be 2016 by the time I get it.

2 other dealers wanted 5k and $7500 over so I kept shopping and made a few calls on some favors and landed the allocation...the dealer I'm using is a mostly truck and sedan volume dealer so the 350 is no big deal to the GM apparently.

How would a dealer that specializes in trucks and sedans be able to order one if I walked in there and asked them? If they authorized to order one but haven't, how would it work?

Every dealer can get atleast 1 by paying a $1000 allocation fee...that's how I'm getting mine.

Gt350R's are done by lottery and will be a limited run of 380

I went earlier and they said they could not. Their VP of sales could not do it.

I thought it was 500 a year.

And now it's to late to get pay the allocation fee. If they did buy in they will get at least on 16 and on 17 gt350.

My dealer has 2 allocations...the owners brother gets the first delivery and if they can build me a 16 in my desired order I'll be getting #2....I'll know 100% tuesday around noon the dealership GM and owner said. Was pretty funny asking the sales guys to wrangle the owner for me...they looked at me cross eyed for a min...lol. fingers crossed for good news tuesday.

I'm kind of surprised to hear you're going with a 350 being the striaght line guy that you are. What gives? Are you planning to go out and make some turns?

Yea...I'm a drag racer at heart but I want to have a diverse selection ;-) make no mistake my GT500 is firmly planted in my garage as my main bitch lol.

Nice! I love the color combo. Will be interested to hear your review when the time comes. I'm on the fence in going with a 350 track pack over my purpose built 700 whp built motor GR40TT GT500, which is an absolute monster on the track. I'm so intrigued by this car though.

I watched a YouTube video highlighting all the tech and stuff integrated into the car...it's not your average mustang....this thing is world class for sure.

If it were coming out of Europe it would be priced starting at $115,000 no doubt about it - and that would still be considered a bargain! This car is in 991 GT3 territory ($145k+)

I bowed out in my search...these dealers are crazy.. $65k sticker for the two places I have been going back n forth with. I ended up ordering a 2016 Deep impact Blue Vert instead with the perfromance pack and Nav.

My 2016 build date gets pushed around quite abit. Anything from late Sept to early Oct. It is my understanding that no 16's have been built yet. Can anyone confirm this?

I've seen a lot of chatter about a delay in 16' production. I'm all for it, makes for one hell of a Thanksgiving/Christmas gift!

4 dealers ...I honestly got too much run around so I just threw in the towel...I don't want one that bad lol. There are 16's being built already...my 16 vert should be built in 6-8 weeks...just in time for thanks giving lol
