How far behind in performance is the 14 Boss L/S vs the GT350?
I owned a Boss 302 Laguna Seca and now own a 2015 Mustang GT and feel my 2015 is far ahead. The GT350 is indeed lightyears ahead. I'll be getting a GT350 very soon. How far behind in performance is the 14 Boss L/S vs the GT350?
My Cobra has 137,000 miles on it and has burnt me once already. It stranded me on a road trip on the way to las vegas. Rear end went out and I was stuck on a corner in Winslow Arizona. I have put $8,000 into the car over the last three years. I love it and won't be getting rid of it but I just don't know if I trust it enough to go cross country again. With hour budget OP, you can easily afford a hellcat, a 13/14 GT500 or a ZL1.
Perfectly suited for what you want. Although not sure why you want another car, when your 04 Cobra is more than adequate for the task.

except a GT350 is slow as shit, and doesnt make any power......
I'd go with a Viper, personally.

Really? I don't consider 12.1 @ 119 and 470ish rwhp slow and weak for a stock vehicle...

you guys suggesting the Hellcat as a "drivers" car are ridiculous. A damn VW GTI would beat the Hellcat on a twisty back road.
If you want to go outside the box, you can get a leftover new or lightly used ATS-V for your budget. Still has the option of a 6 speed and they move out stock, but tune and dp puts you at almost 500rwhp. Great handling, comfortable, and you definitely don't seem the often.

350 is pretty peppy for what it is. Best handling car I have driven. Definitely a real "drivers car", just not a good fit for the OP's definition of "drivers car".
An 08+ viper will do OP nicely.

+1
Sounds like OP is more interested in a muscle car with great performance.
Highway rollers aren't really drivers cars though lol.He wants a highway car that makes power and is fun to drive.
Viper fits the bill nicely......
GT350 does not.
Will NEVER.
Sorry guys, hate to break hearts.
