Not really. Most of his body is right on top of the axis of rotation. Figure skaters spin fast than that all the time. To acclimate to g forces, pilots and astronauts ride on centrifuges that have long arms to create the load. If they could just spin on the axis, they would. It would be cheaper and take up less room.
