I screen snapped this pic of the door in the video, as the skin is being shed.
Could this GT500 have a different door than the GT350? perhaps just a different profile? Maybe aluminum or if allowed, a Carbon composite? what's your opinion?
edit: maybe it's just the artificial lighting in the video??

Whoever is in charge of Ford's marketing needs to be fired. They release some shitty 90s CGI video then leave everyone in the dark for another few weeks. Atleast release a teaser pic once in a while just to keep the hype train rolling.
When sales are effected, he'll be fired.

Keep in mind the Gt500 is not the only vehicle on Ford Performance's plate right now... They're incrementally releasing vehicles and information, but the GT500 is probably one of, if not THE, lowest volume item FP will be selling and they know that. Marketing for a single 70K car at the expense of your 20-50k cars means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

That's precisely why their stock continues to plummet. They have grown so large that people don't matter to them, they lack imagination and direction. Enough people jump off the bandwagon, and they will start caring. Can't wait until stock gets higher (if it ever does) and I'll be dumping, or maybe I'll just take the losses.

That's not even close. First of all, at this time a lot of the auto markets are headed downwards.

Their stock is shaky even with killer earnings because their outlook wasn't on self driving cars and all electric cars that run on sunflower smiles.

They literally fired the old CEO for poor stock performance, even though Fields was making them a shit ton of money. They hired a bean counter to wrangle costs and put $20B into electric and self driving tech. The GT500 has very little to do with the stock price. You might see a small blip when the car is entirely debuted but if Ford came out with a Model S/X/3 competitor we would see significant movement.

VW skyrocketed their stock to a 52 week high after they announced they were putting $80B into future electric.

From what I have heard you have quite a long wait (even Gary Patteson mentioned 2020 in a recent video) so it appears you have 2 options- move on or buckle yourself in and have a ton of patience. The more lame teasers that come out the more turned off I will become and the harder it will be to get me the slightest bit interested (I am still not even remotely interested in getting into the market for this car, so easy for me to say I know). For some odd reason, my gut is telling me that they are stalling release for some reason...obviously I have no idea why, it is just a gut feeling. So far, the rumors and renderings and whatnot are falling flat instead of driving up excitement, again IMHO.

Did you find one part of my post that said anything about a GT500?
Yes, they knew things were stagnant and dry, and felt that they needed some recourse from someone who they - thought - could get some stuff done, or at least excite stock holders, well, thats not going so well.
Lets wait a couple years and see what happens.

Venom Kills Demon’s!

Let's face it. This is piss poor marketing. First you release a teaser and then follow up with nothing. Then you have some clown say "Venom Kills Demons". Let me address that statement. A Demon with Race Gas is Dyno'd at 780bhp to the wheels. Not crank. Wheels. Explain to me how the GT500 us going to "KILL" that.

If Ford thinks beating a Demon around a track is "killing" a Demon, they are going to be laughed at. The Demon is a drag car. Straight line muscle. And the marketing and hype behind it were Top Notch.

I will say this...the Demon was over hyped. 9.65@140. Literally NOBODY is even coming close to those times. Nobody. It was a one-time HERO run by a pro driver that's like 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. Perfect conditions. Glue on track. No seats. Skinnies.

The GT500 is gonna be a great car. But no way it is going to Kill a Demon. And no way Ford even had a Demon to test against. So they need to shut up with comments like that cause they will come back to bite them. But like other's have said...doesn't matter. Every single GT500 will sell for years to come. You don't need to market these enthusiast cars.
