Hey Guys,
@Corbic 's thread sparked my interest on deciding on a 1911.
Currently, I'm looking to spend at least $1,000, but, no more than say $1,300 or $1,400.
I like the Springfield TRP and hear nothing but good things about the TRP series. I'm also considering a custom gun such as a Dan Wesson Heritage or Valor, if I can find one for under $1,500.
I've handled and fired several 1911's and my carry weapon, Sig P938 is 1911 based. Love the feel and idea of the 1911 and now I just want one.
This will be a hobby gun I take to the range to have fun with.
Must be Stainless
Excellent Trigger
Ambi-Safety
Skeletonized Trigger/Hammer is a huge plus.
Would be nice to have tritium sites as an added bonus or at the very least, fiber optic sites.
I like the TRP the best as Springfield is local, and they have a lifetime warranty and I also hear their customer service is amazing.
** MODS - Feel free to merge with Gun Porn thread if you feel its necessary. **
Thanks for the advice in advance SVTP.
