how does a 1 owner car stock need all that

Cobra Clunk
Blower is whining pretty badly at idle (more than normal). I think the Teflon/front case is toast on it.
Top motor is weak from being used

Runs, drives, new McCleod clutch and aluminum flywheel, completely stock otherwise. Cold AC.. it's a good car. Even came with the window sticker, spare keys, original certificate, and paperwork from when he bought it new.

because it has been run hard and put away wet. and not taken care of. you not the he didn't say how many miles are on it.

there are a lot of cars out there that are more "beastly" but the 03/04 will always have "icon status"

I've personally worked on this car for the last 7 years. Let me tell you it's the cleanest most original cobra i've ever touched. Just shy of 100k. Sits in a garage every night/weekend.

... What American V8 came with forced induction before the Cobra? Who was even thinking about it? No one! ...

Shelby Cobra Roadster Super Snake
'67 Shelby GT500 Super Snake

Carroll Shelby and a few others. I believe there were quite a few American concept and prototype cars that featured forced induction from the 1940s to present day.

Saw a red 1st gen last night. ... I always figured they are what gave Ford the idea to put a blower on the Cobra engine

First gen Lightnings were naturally aspirated.

... Will it get beat in a race? Yes. Would I trade it for the car that beat me? Not a chance. ...

What if you got smoked by a 488 GTB, 720S, or 911 Turbo S?

how does a 1 owner car stock need all that

Apparently, it racked up those miles a quarter mile at a time. Or the owner didn't take very good mechanical care of it.

Meant to say 2nd gens were blown. The 1st gen had a 351 and were killing 454SS pickups

In truth all the LS1 Camaros, trans am, formula variants were the same mechanically, motor wise, only the aesthetics and some suspension parts were different.

Thats one of the big turn offs of the SS and WS6 cars is that really nothing is special about them. Its really a hood, cai, catback and wheels package. If you compare that a GT vs a Cobra everything is different, engine, interior, exterior, brakes, drive line.

Back when I had a 4th Gen Fbody you'd see cars advertised as SS or WS6 because they had the hood, and with out looking at the RPO code or doing a Vin search you couldn't verify. You don't really get that with Cobra's as theres way to much to fake/swap.

I believe the 1st gen baby T-birds had a Paxton option as well.

Very true, although the WS6 is a great looking car, certainly the peak of the the 4th Gen.

As much as people complain about the SN95 interior - Jesus H Christ, the 4th Gen makes a Mustang look like a BMW or Audi by comparison.

But I thought every time a car changed hands it magically produced more issues??

Had sn95s, new edges, 4th gen f-boats... comparing interior is like two bums fighting over who’s underpass had better ambiance.

Didn't read 15 pages but no it's not.

Ok. Did you see the part where bolt on 03 cobras still keep up with c7z’s?

I’ll find more.

Pulley port e85 cobra vs hellcat and zr1

Ported 100shot slicks 160,000 miles vs hellcat on drag radials.

^”that hellcat on a tire, somebody about to get their hide smashed...”

Cobra literally pulls 1-2 cars at launch.

Ya, cobra’s are weak. Dodge has this 707hp thing out, Chevy had this 650hp thing, well 2 of them now. Ones new ones last gen...

they likely were already there. hence the reason it was sold a lot of the time
I was kidding. It only takes one person to wreck a car. When I sold my cobra it was immaculate and taken care of by all 4 of its owners yet when I advertised tons of people said "ehhh thats too many owners" makes no sense
