Your really going to argue this? I always look behind me BEFORE changing any lanes. Speed racer was not even in sight and came up on me from a way back. I have every right to move in the other lane when clear to maintain my speed.
So your argument is and you seem to indicate that you would come up on traffic doing 65 mph and tailgate someone passing the traffic at 75 mph in the fast lane and tailgate that person. Obviously your a dangerous driver.

No, you yield to faster traffic regardless of how fast you're going. You must be an inattentive driver to have not seen "Speed Racer".

No sense in arguing. You keep doing what works for and I’ll remain the inattentive driver in your opinion.

Not only is it just plain and simply courteous to pull over, many states it is the law.
I pull over after driving in germany and also having been in a rush. In Fl it is not uncommon to see people refuse to pull over regardless of traffic. Mostly old farts.

You need to read the entire situation carefully. I agree if your just traveling in the fast lane holding up traffic, move over as a courtesy and that is the law in some states. This was not the case.

Old fart drivers are typically safer drivers in this state.

Most of ours are from the north east. Been through Ohio a few times and all i remember was their shitty roads.

I’d have to agree with you on that one. Ive had someone tailgate me at 75 (speed limit was 65) on the interstate. I figured his windshield needed a wash as did mine.

I typically drive 5-10 over the limit with a detector.

Nice job enforcing traffic. Are you a cop? You’re in a passing lane move over.

Like the part where instead of safely getting out of the faster vehicles way you took the time to turn the window sprayers on?

Super speeder is a $200 fine from the state on top of whatever ticket you got. Super speeder is 85+ on any highway and 75+ on any two-lane road.

I want to be a traffic cop a few days a month to ticket all the stupid I see on the roads.

I was reading online, and it seemed fully legit, but in Houston, you can volunteer to be certified in writing tickets for illegal handicap parking, and then proceed to give them. I think it's just like a 4 hour weekend class and you're good to go. I think that would be damn fun!

If you read what I typed earlier, I WAS PASSING TRAFFIC in the fast lane. I like the part where you assumed I could and should move over into the middle lane to cause an accident AND I was the lonely driver in the fast lane doing 75mph to pass middle lane traffic.

Please show me any state law that recommends when a faster driver ( 85 mph) comes up on you in traffic ( your lane is doing 75 mph to pass such traffic) that I should match that speed ( if I could ) in an attempt move over into slower, tighter traffic to avert tailgater. Keep in mind, I’m not tailgating the person in front me , but maintaining lane speed.

I prefer window washers over slamming brakes.

Not even remotely what you initially typed.

https://jalopnik.com/5501615/left-lane-passing-laws-a-state-by-state-map Take the link with a grain of salt. But it explains it for you, also note where your state falls in the categories. Explains a few things.
