Let me try to summarize a long story short.
After 4.5yrs of trying to conceive a 2nd child, with 2 Failed IVF procedures, Lots of money spent and lots of stress created, We finally had our 2nd child 5 months ago, And we did it without any IVF or IUI procedures, Got on a 3rd round of Clomid and it worked enough to get my test levels up, and count up, where we were able to do it naturally :) .
fast word to today, I recently decided that having 2 children was enough, and think now would be a perfect time to start TRT. By Injections, I started on Monday. So hopefully ill have my fix for a while to take care of any testosterone issues...
Anyone else on injections?
Wondering how long it took to bring your leves to normal?
And what exactly is YOUR normal level?
Any Pros and Cons ya'll would like to note?
Mine has always been under 200, When we conceived it got up to 590 on Clomid. Highest i ever recorded...

Yeah one guy I work with did it and ended up having a stroke. Low T is God's way of telling you to slow down, learn you use your tongue better, buy some toys.
BTW this SVT no one has low T here. Might want to check Ls1tech for an answer or Corvetteforum.

I don't remember my levels. But I was low. They put me on androgel. Evil shit. I stopped. Still have low T. Haven't thought about it since.

IMHO, the treatments aren't work the benefits for me. But I find this to be true with most medication based treatments. I'd rather deal with the problem than the side effects associated with the medications to treat (not solve) the problem.

Have you tried adjusting/examining your diet and exercise routine? There are many things you can do to naturally boost your T levels without doing TRT. In addition, getting your diet and exercise in check will come with many other positive side effects that you wouldn't experience with TRT.

Unless you know exactly what is going into your body (count calories for two weeks), you may be jumping the gun. Just my .02

Have you tried applying for a job at Buzz Feed?

In all seriousness, lift weights, eat meat and vegetables, avoid sugar. Watch some Youtube Videos, see a doctor, get treatment.

Low T falls into one of those health categories like Sleep Apnea, Mild Depression, Sore Joints, etc that people just kind of adjust and get used to - however mild treatments can mean life changing results in your energy, happiness and overall well-being - but people are stubborn and would rather "Deal with it" then fix it.

not at my post...
From what I have heard don’t mess around with the gels, creams, go right to testosterone cypionate injections. I’d personally hold off on trt if it can be avoided, as others have advised, diet, excercise i.e. heavy lifts like dead’s, squats can boost natural test.

Well Again, I just started the Injections, Its like a life changing event for me since ill have to do it for a very long time....
I did try alot of things, Again we were trying to have a child for 4.5 yrs , In the first 2 years i did try several different things, Adjusted every possible thing i could control from diet to excercise. I have worked out religiously since 18yrs old and have literally gone to the gym 3-5 days a week.Always have, Longest period ive taken off was 2 wks, and that was because i got caught with the flu.
Ive adjusted my diet so many time as well, Trying new things. I would try a certain routine for 3 months, Blood work, retry. That happened alot over those 4.5 years lol
I did Clomid and HCG injections as well, Saw 3 Endocrinologist, 2 Urolgist, had 2 cat scans, etc.... the list goes on and on, Its not my diet, Its not my exercise routines, None of the Drs can find a reason for the Low T , Its just something i've dealt with and didnt know it.

I considered the gel, but i since i have kids i chose not to risk getting any of it on them accidentally vs a shot.
i watched a video on the pellet injections , and said F that...
i believe i dont have many other options.
Im definitley not going to be okay with low t though, That can have a very hard long term effect on all my body, my heart, being overweight, fatigue, etc the list goes... Having Low T is not a joke or anything to kid around about, or let go...

I self-inject ~100mg per week of T-Cyp (testosterone cypionate). Been doing the TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) for ~7 years. Self-inject of T-Cyp seems to be the easiest, cheapest and 'best' way to achieve results. It helps in all regards, haha. I watch what I eat, avoid sugars and have been fairly active all my life. Started lifting more weights about 6 months ago.

There's a bunch of issues that come into play with TRT , so it pays to learn them. I see an Endocrinologist at least once a year for blood tests and TRT discussion.

Anyway, here's a great forum on the subject: Peak Testosterone Forum - Index

Low T is definitely not something to be taken lightly actually. But you have to look at it this way, for a shot, administered by a physician that is more than likely going to change your body for the better regarding your health, is it really that terrible?

Some people just have low T and no amount of diet or exercise will help.

I know some people end up with some sort of blood thickening issues or something along those lines and other drugs are required to help with that. Hopefully your doc is monitoring that.

I also recall being told that along with the shots they prescribe a drug so you won’t stop producing your own T which can happen when getting the shots.

This was just basic info I received when I had mine checked a year and a half ago. 38 and I felt a little weaker than normal. Came in @825. Doc said he could max me out at 1200 if I wanted but didn’t recommend it lol.

I hate the thought of possibly having a stroke, But what else can i do? I can also have a stroke from having Low T long term, or even bone health issues..... Kinda on the fence about the injections anyhow but just dont know at this point.

I hear ya. It's all about analyzing how your quality of life going to be though. I mean you can have anything happen to you at any time. Super healthy people drop dead from the craziest things sometimes without warning. At least you have a step up now and have skilled people trying to help your situation.

How can you tell if you have low T? All the symptoms I've ever read about just sound like someone who needs some sleep. I actually tried the gel once, and it made no difference at all, that I could tell. Is it supposed to be some dramatic change?

I'm pretty sure you have to build your body up with the gel before you notice a difference.
Go to your doctor, low T tests are pretty common now. From what I was told by a few different people, there's a noticeable difference between just being tired and needing rest and actually having a problem

You best and easiest solution is to go to your Dr, and get a wellness check done, Or just let him/her know your have a concern about it and theyll do a blood analysis and check your levels.

BPA's can be a problem causing low T, they are chemicals used in plastics. These plastics are used in food packaging like lining cans and in water bottles food containers etc. Heating them like microwaving food in plastic containers causes them to leach in to food faster. BPA's are reported to mimic estrogen and there are several other health concerns. There is a lot of info if you look.
