Seems like just yesterday I was standing on those glorious yellow foot prints at Parris Island, SC at just 18 years old thinking “what the hell have I got my self into?!!” Drill instructors screaming in your face get on the quarter deck!!!!!!!!!!! Scuzz!!!! Wouldn’t have at it any other way! Ooh rah.

A former VP at my work still emails me from time to time and emails me on the marine corps birthday. When she retired I found out why she liked me so much, her husband was a Marine as well. This was a hippy type lady too, vegan, loves animals.
