Any Dealers With Decent GT500 Allocations?

I just might've got lucky. The dealer I got my 350 from wasn't going to even be in the GT500 program. I told them I'd put down a deposit if they get in the program and get an allocation for me.

Less than 5% of dealers won't be in the program.

Ah, well with about 3,100 Ford Dealers in the US, even at 5% that leaves 2,945 Dealers with at least one GT500.

I know one of my local dealers routinely gets 4 to 6 cars per year, so that makes for some pretty decent production numbers then.

They were able to crank out a bunch of GT350's. Around ~6k a year. I assume it will be similar for the GT500.

I am a little concerned about parts availability in the future. If this car and transmission is only a 2 year run, how responsive are the manufacturers going to be 5 years after the last car leaves the line.
How many 2007-2014 GT500 specific parts are still available today and how many are no longer available?

I doubt the trans is only a 2 year run, and I'm sure the aftermarket will provide all the parts you need for many years to come.

I wouldn't worry about it. You'll have no trouble finding parts either through Ford or the aftermarket.

2 Year Run is BULLSHIT. Ford as a company is in the shitter...they will make as many as they can sell.

Problem is that dealers mark them up so much they don't sell as many, so it creates a false shortage which keeps the ADM up...and production down.

This. If they are selling GT500's, they will keep making them. See the GT350. A lot of people thought the GT350 would be limited, and Ford is still making them.

Pretty sure there is a new Mustang platform coming 2022.

Perhaps I don't understand the process of automotive part printing well enough, however from what I understand this will ensure car owners that replacement parts will be available indefinitely.
