Haha yup, track days are full of people who have no business being there. But passing GT3 porsches in a stock focus ST hasnt lost its luster to me yet
Lol I do enjoy the feeling.

Well, except when they wave you by without lifting off the throttle and you still get bunged up on the next corner lolLol I do enjoy the feeling.
I had a guy do that to me in a C63 at an open lapping day, I was in a Fiesta ST.Well, except when they wave you by without lifting off the throttle and you still get bunged up on the next corner lol
Hey I’ve been heavily debating a widebody hellcat challenger and doing track days occasionally with it lol. If I do pull the trigger on a track car though it would likely make more sense to go gt350I think the majority on this forum are hellcat owners lol.
No reason you cant have fun in one on track! Its just the owners mindset around here is using them for drag only or picking their noses in traffic. Yea pretty much, im glad we require some form of scca/fia graduation to even set foot on our track, yet even still you get complete no minds, cant imagine TNIAAnybody who wants to get on track and get the most out of your cars, PLEASE, look into organizations like NASA, Porsche Club of America, BMW Car Club of America, Chin Motorsports, etc, who offer honest-to-god in-car instruction and structured advancement programs, before you look into TNIA. The last thing track people need is yet another horde of drivers self-selecting themselves into the "Advanced" group just because they have a fast car.
I didn't know you needed that for your track.Yea pretty much, im glad we require some form of scca/fia graduation to even set foot on our track, yet even still you get complete no minds, cant imagine TNIA
If you go through me I can pull some strings but the rule states "must have scca/fia accredited schooling" along the lines of the FRPP school or the weekend courses at bondurant etc.I didn't know you needed that for your track.
Does it need to be a full on provisional or would being signed off for an advanced run group work for it?
Oh well shit I have run the Ford school 3 times lol.If you go through me I can pull some strings but the rule states "must have scca/fia accredited schooling" along the lines of the FRPP school or the weekend courses at bondurant etc
Oh hell if you ever make the trip you'll be in no problem haha, open lapping all day for $100Oh well shit I have run the Ford school 3 times lol.
Yea, currently I’m not sure what I’ll get but either way I’ll be doing track days. I used to do them with past bikes and it’s an amazing time.No reason you cant have fun in one on track! Does TNA allow passengers with a signed waiver?
Will that coupon code only work for one event?
VIR will likely fill up quickly, so don't wait too long.Hmm. I am tempted to book for VIR and Gingerman. Hopefully my GT350R arrives in May

I have not ran at CMP before, but would like to. I hear the track is hard on tires. I really enjoy Road Atlanta for its speed and elevation change, so I worry that CMP might be kind of a let down in those regards..
Yea, well don't worry about a hellcat being completely useless on a road course, honestly, I dont see them often but they do just fine. The average novice wont have much difference in fun factor between a miata, hellcat or a zl1 1le on the odd track day and thats all track days are. Fun factor and chasing your own lap times. For me I can only afford to run the tiny cars now as im there every damn weekend.Yea, currently I’m not sure what I’ll get but either way I’ll be doing track days. A couple serious guys are going through a set of tires/month in their 1le's.. But they have gotten faaast and at the real limit which absolutely shreds tiresI've heard the "hard on tires" comment a bunch, but I haven't noticed during my 5 track days out there. CMP is a fun track and a deal at $125. It's 45 minutes from my house, so I enjoy running out there.
Yea I’m sure it’ll take time just like it did with my R6. I could always save myself a lot of initial cash and just get a GT then build as needed.Yea, well don't worry about a hellcat being completely useless on a road course, honestly, I dont see them often but they do just fine. Yea a gt pp2 would be my choice over any other factory car, including gt350... All that money saved for pads/fluid and tires if ya gonna run hard. They look quite mean in person with that square 305 stance.Yea I’m sure it’ll take time just like it did with my R6.
