Congrats Nick.
Divorced the 1st: After getting married, it became known that she was extremely dependent on her parents for everything. At 30 years old, she'd never been to the grocery store by herself, gotten gas for herself, cleaned her own house, mowed a lawn, etc etc etc. Her mom and dad did everything for her. Also, she confessed that she had been battling depression for 4 or 5 years, was on a daily medication, had been attending counseling once a week for 3 years, etc... mental health is real, and I understand it can be embarrassing, but I was more frustrated she hid it until we were married. Why did you divorce the first one and why is the second any different

We bought a $600k house, I put down about $190k. When we got married she had about $3,000 to her name. Since the house was marital property, she got half the equity. Why would an 8 month marriage cost you 100K?
Congrats none the less.
I wouldn't have wanted to, but I would've paid double to end up where I am now hahaLife is better with a parter that you truly enjoy.
One of my friends once said “You know why divorce is expensive?...Because it is worth it!”
No reason to go through life unhappy.
