I think the lower curb weight of the shelby + the DCT will make up for the lower HP number
By all accounts, this thing will be >4K#, which is getting up there. Definitely heading in the wrong direction. Whatever the FCA competitor is, it will only be an aluminum block away from significantly closing the mass gap. On a 15+ year old chassis to boot.
It will still be stupid fast, but can’t get around the fact that it will likely be very hard on consumables.
