I've wanted a Challenger since the new interiors came out. I really liked my EB F150, but the end of the year deals were too hard to pass up. This thing may not be capable of low 11 second runs, but it is simply a hoot to drive and I laugh as I walk the rear around turns and boil the tiny 245s at stops. I'm in my 40s and this car makes me feel like I'm 16 again. My 13 gt mustang was ok, but this thing is flat out sinister.

Sharp! Daily driving a boat, how brave of you. lol Looks really good, congrats.

Edit: Just create an account on Flickr and upload your photos there and then copy and paste the link here, much easier than using SVTP's Nazi file upload. :)

Congrats, the 392 cars have big balls!!

They are CHEAP right now, too. I can see why you got into one!

Congrats - the scatpacks are hard to pass up for the price.

Not sure if the Challengers are the same way, but my Charger is scary with the confidence for the rear coming out. Easily one of the most controllable and smoothest cars I've owned to whip around corners.

For sure. It rides really comfortable, the trunk is gigantic, the motor is torquey, and it pulls off 24 mpg at 65 with the cruise set. Handling is surprisingly controlled and the car just seems to handle its heft really well. Doesnt feel like a 4k plus pound car.

If anyone is on the fence about checking one out, dont wait. The deals right now are exceptional and the car is really impressive.

Congrats. I had a 2012 SRT 392 “yellow jacket” challenger. Loved it. Tire smoke king... You only have to remove the exhaust resonators and they sound primo man. Then get a cold air and tune, to make it twice as fun!

Did the cold air and tune make a significant difference? Worth the cost?
Absolutely. They are already fairly strong, but these simple mods wake them up real good. Just get a lund (or good quality canned tune) and a decent CAI. If I remember correctly, it was only around $600-$700. for both. Definitely a noticeable improvement over stock. The thing I also really loved about it was the fact that I drove it HARD as a daily and kept it around redline because it was so fun. And it never gave me a bit of trouble or failed me in any way. Every other one does seem to suffer from the so called “hemi tick” though. Just like some of the 5.0 coyote engines. They can tap or tick loudly at idle. If you are finicky like me it can drive you crazy next to a wall or in a drive thru. But do not let it scare you! Just like the 5.0 tick, it in no way seems to limit or affect the engine in a negative way.

My wife’s grandson got a new hellcat Monday. It’s a six speed standard. He wanted me to drive it, and told me to hammer it. Wow!
After that I had him drive my Mustang and , of course I told to hammer it. I had to rub it in. LOL. Mine runs low 10s

Great, thanks for the info.

Yeah, I'm convinced this is no mustang killer, but I'm ok with that. The looks and waves from people are things I never got in any of my Mustangs. Also, the look is just muscle car. It's not trying to compete with the smaller and lighter sports cars. It's brawny and sounds fantastic.

Very true, the challenger is an amazing car. And it is a blast to drive. Sounds great, pulls like crazy with the monster torque. I will definitely give credit where it is due. A very nice car
