Do we really put that much credence in Edmunds, or any other similar source? I take ALL of these "reports" with a grain of salt. Take them to the track for heads up racing, and then we'll have a much better idea who of the three really prevails.
They test them all on the same day with same conditions. So it is the most realistic outcome outside of the public buying their own and doing their own runs. The zl1 isnt even in the picture unless it's on a road course. And all the magazine tests show the gt500 out traps the redeye. Who cares if it's on a shitty tire, that's what dodge gets for being cheap.
All this means is dodge needs to bring something new to the table, same body style since what 2007? Lol, things a boat and would be great if the dropped weight with a much needed redesign. Its coming.

I mean, there's been multiple private owners run mid-high 10s at 132+mph, which absolutley slaughters any stock ZL1 1LE, and has a healthy lead to RedEyes in similar weather. Also, power to weight/transmission dictates 95% of the outcome, and the GT500 wins in both categories. Frankly going to the track isn't even necessary when simple arithmetic prevails.

You can certainly option them out to hell. It Redeyes can be had for low $60s all day.

Neither of those are wide bodys though..

Average discounted price on a widebody red eye is a bit under $12k off.

That's pretty darn close to what some of our members who have GT500s paid for theirs.

Someone been hitting the crack pipe. Lol
Yeah all the Dodge nutswingers on a Ford site. Tell me again why people that actively hate on a certain brand/current products, would keep associating themselves around said brand/product? Do you like to torture yourself that much? No other friends? All the bozos on Dodge/Chevy forums too illiterate to have any meaningful conversation with?

yea. I’m talking about the standard body Redeye, which is also faster than the wide body.

no one is hating, just pointing out some relevant info. Why so defensive?

The GT500 wins in everything but price, and even then it is so marginal at that level it is barely worth discussing, yet you pull every reason out of your ass the RedEye is/should be better, even though it objectively is not, in any single way. Except being a few grand cheaper. Imagine a car that performs better at EVERY METRIC, costing a bit more than a lower performing car.

that’s not true. Demon is faster. Also, Redeye responda better to mods. 500 is better at road course than the dodges. But ZL1 1LE is better than the non CFTP 500.

500 is a great all around car but not the best. Sorry man.

So were there timeslips...60' data anywhere??
Sure seems the redeye spun through a couple of gears to perform that terribly.
Our Redeye went 10.8 @ 128 bone stock on a radial.

Forget the CFTP and it's the same story. The GT500 is still faster/better in every metric. Braking, accelerating, cornering, interior, etc. etc. 74k vs 70k base GT500 vs Base Red Eye.

So does anyone have an answer to my earlier question about the ZR1 trapping the same as a GT500, even though the ZR1 makes the same power, costs twice as much, and weighs 500+lbs LESS? Talk about an embarrassment.

This video is bananas! I love it. The GT500 keeps shining in every test no matter how the dice is rolled. The Predator is the new Terminator for the streets.

you’ve got your prices wrong, mein. That’s not how they work out in the real world. Redeyes are selling for low low 60. The cheapest you will find a 500 is mid $70s.

the 500 might edge the Redeye when comparing stock cars, but once modded the Redeye will respond leagues better.

Also, the ZR1 will skull **** a 500 in the road course.

That's like saying the New Edge was a new chassis compared to the 94-98 SN95 lol. The S550 was a new chassis, the 2015 "update" was not.

Our Redeye went 10.8 @ 128 bone stock on a radial.
And a YouTuber kid went 10.65 at 132 mph bone stock NOT on a radial. That's not a very good argument for the Red Eye vs GT500 lol

Not my fault Dodge has to give their shit away at $10k below MSRP. I'm comparing MSRP, not some dealer that's been sitting on their boat anchor for 6 months.

Diablo Mike just said their stock Red Eye went 10.8 at 128mph on a drag radial. Yet the GT500 goes 10.6 at 132mph without a drag radial. 4mph is a very healthy difference, and out on the highway will be quite the gap.

The ZR1 beats the GT500 on the road course yes... that wasn't the question, the question is, why can't GM's $140k car, with 755hp, weighing 3600lbs, trap any better than a $74k pig of a Mustang at 4100+lbs, with the same ~760hp? SAD!

Oh it's very serious. That's why we've gotten this far into the discussion. lol

But you're not wrong about that, a beer would be good. Doesn't change some of the sad facts previously stated though.
