How much for the engine?
Would be a nice upgrade for my 460 93 F350
Look how tiny that thing is in there compared to a mod motor swap!!!
Tiny AND an extra 144 cubes?!?!?
Please tell me a HO version of this is showing up in the Raptor & Mustang.....
And now ya only gotta buy ONE instead of four!Just need the aftermarket to develop some cams.
Why would you want a engine that makes less HP and weighs 200lbs more in a mustang. And they just need to put the mustang GT motor back in the raptor.
Uh, did you even watch Brian Wolfe's thoughts on power production of this engine? Why would you want a engine that makes less HP and weighs 200lbs more in a mustang. And they just need to put the mustang GT motor back in the raptor.
Uh, did you even watch Brian Wolfe's thoughts on power production of this engine?
Or, because this motor in truck form only makes 30hp less than a complex 4 valve mod motor plus an additional 55ft/lbs of torque?
That's a lot money Ford would have to spend to put that in a mustang and it still wouldn't be as good as the coyote is. It doesn't make a smart business to backwards in technology.
And if you look at what I wrote...I asked for a "HO" version, which I would assume would come with an aluminum block.
That would be a lot of money for Ford to spend on R&D to make that out perform the coyote thats in the mustang and then it would still be limited exactly like the LS is. It just isnt a smart business move.
Well you never know...Ford started with the "modular the world" mantra, then "ecoboost the world"...but now they're building old school(with new tech) high volume pushrod engines...?Doubtful with the Ecoboost Ford is pushing, but hey I can dream.
