So I've had a bunch of time on my hands and what better way to social distance than to enjoy a high hp cobra by yourself? I have been doing some datalogging lately and thought I'd share the results of my i/c mods. I have the j2fab modded stock cooler, j2fab flow mod, 7gal trunk tank, stewart emp pump, 1" lines, vmp gt500 h/e and about and 85/15 water to coolant mix. I know everyone battles iat2 temps especially on big boost cars, my car was no exception. I run a gen4 2.9 crusher at 25lbs of boost.
Outside temp at time of pull was 76 degrees and iat1 was 80ish throughout pull. Pull was in 3rd from 2k to 6500. Iat2 started at 114 and had dropped to 86 by the end. So a 28 degree drop and only 6 degrees above iat1. I'd say it's working, not sure how much more you can ask for.
I am in no way affiliated with justin or j2fab but just wanted to share my results. I still have the 2 10" fans on the h/e but they are only used when the car is sitting, if even then. If anything I'd say they are restricting air flow at high speeds. I'll probably just pull them as I rarely use them.
