Id take a GM truck interior over an F series any day of the week and 2x on Sunday. Toyota and Nissan? lol.. stop it already... they arent even competing in the full size market. They have an offering.. but they certainly arent serious about competing for segment numbers.

my work truck is an f250. An 18

and I agree the interior is trash

Lol at people saying that the sound shouldn’t matter....like people don’t love to put exhaust on every performance car, or don’t bust on imports for not sounding as good. A great sounding ride is all part of the experience and when you’re paying closer to 100k you want all the boxes checked.
Agree. My wife chose the supercharged v8 in her Range Rover sport over a v6 because of the sound. Does she use the power? No. Does it sound good at all time?Abso-damn-lutely! And don’t tell me about fords intended purpose of this truck. It’s an off roader. It’s a Baja truck. Blah blah. Ford had $11k in luxury options available for this truck. As well as Carbon fiber packages, Recaro, decals, etc. I guess they want it to be a luxury off roader? I want those packages, but I also wanted to click the option box where it sounds like a badass vehicle too. Lol

I’m being very sarcastic. I was told in this very forum that when I was shopping for a daily driver and didn’t choose the raptor because I don’t care for the ecoboost motor, I was looking at it for the wrong reason. This wasn’t the truck to go to the mall or Starbucks in. Or to drive fast from a red light heaven forbid. So I’m not sure why ford offers an $11k luxury package. And carbon package, etc. don’t they know people on the trails don’t need these superfluous options? My point is ford knows who is buying the majority of these trucks and it’s people like me, and my brother who actually owns one. Daily drive, wv winter, haul kids, hunt. You know as well as I do they could’ve offered a v8 just as easily. I love my roushcharged ‘19, but I would love it more in a raptor.

Yea pretty much, *nobody* buys these trucks if they are serious about offroad. If they do then.. well that was a waste of money.

I have a lot to unpack about your comments yesterday so bear with me and I'll try and make them easy for you to respond to

A. You said you loved your supercharged Roush but you would love it in a raptor more, my question to that is why? If you are planning to use a raptor anywhere close to its intended use why would you like it more in a Raptor? What difference does it make sense your supercharged Roush is suiting your needs.

B. Just because you can use a shoe for flyswatter does not mean that a shoe company should make a shoe that caters to people that use it as a flyswatter...... meaning the Raptor is first and foremost an vehicle but you can do the Baja 1000 in that you can still daily Drive, haul kids ect ect..... not the other way around so it does not make sense to cater to the people that only use it as a daily driver since that is not the trucks actual selling point.

I'm not going to go down the road of why Ford have a V8 option as that has been beaten to death and it's pretty obvious but all reports say that the Gen 3 will have the Predator motor so that should make you happy .......even though you clearly stated The Supercharged Roush fits everything you need in a truck.

Btw I do love the exhaust on The Supercharged Range rover. It was a vehicle we test drove when my wife was looking for a new daily and that easily was the best thing about that SUV , but my wife went in a different direction

Oh I think the raptor is hands down the best looking truck on the market today. Love the stance, wider fenders, etc. engine/sound is at the forefront of anything I purchase though. Don’t get me wrong, I love my current truck’s look, but the raptor looks insane. Reminds me in some ways of when the Audi R8 first came out. Exotic looks, but only offered with a 4.2 v8. Looked amazing but the motor was very meh. Sound didn’t quite fit the vehicles look nor did it feel “special”. Once they dropped the v10 in that car...game over. Not in any way an exact comparison, but you get the idea of what I’m saying.

I’m still waiting on @kaz109 to show some photo proof of all this badass stuff he does with his raptor. Lol...

By the way he makes it sound, you’d think he competes with it.

Let’s see it Kaz

Hard to get out and take pictures running alongside as I'm doing stuff lol.... but with that said I have signed up for Texas Raptor rally as well as a trip through Big Bear and Lucerne. Just waiting for fires and covid to die down. No problem posting pictures of mine in action even though it serves no purpose to my argument

So engine sound is first and foremost on your list..... not the Raptor it's as simple as that. You already have the truck that suits your need first and foremost which is motor and sound.

The same thing happened when my wife was looking for an SUV, the SC RR easily sounded the best out of everything we drove but loved everything else more in the Q8. I just don't put sound first only when buying something this price point. Far to many other factors for me

To be fair you can do the Baja 1000 in a VW beetle...

so, just like I thought, haven’t really done much other than cruise the mall with it. Lol

sounds like you “will be” having fun with it. Good on ya!

of course it serves purpose, as you touted yourself as milking the Raptor for its intended purpose, unlike the “pleibs” who prefer the Ram that just cruise the strip and visit malls... lol

Ok well I am not going to say I know more than you, I honestly don't. I just know what I have done and will do in my truck that others either won't work are incapable of doing in stock forum.

But since u know more than me I will ask u this , does 700+hp makes sense in these ( raptor or TRX) trucks? I am no pro but just in my experience it seems like that is far more power than suspension capability.

I want more power but I am even questioning handling the extra power just from a IC and tune

Haha, I haven't even done that. My raptor has 600mi on it and 400 of that has been off road miles learning it. Stay in your lane man. You are trying to pick an argument to which you have none.

I haven't done it's intended purpose for obvious reasons do to what is happening in the world right now. That still doesn't change my position that I understand why Ford caters to more what the vehicle is supposed to be rather than what people want it to be because of their intended use. I'm not sure what's so hard about you comprehending that.
