Huh, didn't know anyone was porting the 2.3 TVS Gen 2

Great, more money while the blower is off the car.
I just looked on Joker's website. He does porting on Gen 1 and Gen 2R VMPs but doesn't mention anything for the Gen 2 (which is what I have). Are the Gen 1 and Gen 2 that much different ?

Thank you for renewing my faith in the 2.3 blower haha
Are you running a Gen 1 or Gen 2 2.3? I looked on Joker's website and he has a sale going on porting and rebuild for the 2.3, but only on the Gen 1 vmp nothing on the Gen 2....

For arguments sake, the Gen 1 and 2 are the same, I guarantee the price is the same. He probably just never updated the website after the Gen 2 came out.

EDIT......that Gen 2R is not our application. That's GT500/Coyote.

Yeah think Gen 1 vs Gen 2 was mostly just EGR provisions. Didn't think there were gains to be had porting, hasn't been much talk on here about it. Thanks for the info, seems to be working for you. Think it's time to add boost and/or port.

Yes, the EGR as well as the "S" plate bypass blockoff under the blower.

Porting works on every supercharger, don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. There is some serious testing/R&D going on right now with the 2.3's, they have come a long way. A proper built combo will make 4 digit RWHP.

I messaged them on Facebook and they said Gen 2 and gen2r same port service. Which makes sense since they offered at the same price. I think you're right and he just never updated the website.
Another question for you, what plenum are you running? They offer elbow porting for an extra $150, I just dont know if it's be worth it on a dragon plenum...there's nothing really to port inside it as it sits stock...Did you get yours ported?

Same here. I searched and nothing on porting for the vmp 2.3s... If I don't find a deal on a gen 4 2.9 Whipple after i upgrade my fuel system, I think i may just send my little 2.3 to Jokerz for a port.

I have the large VMP single blade throttle body and matching plenum.

Yes (not sure why it is called a GT500 though).

Nice. Hopefully my dragon TB and plenum don't negatively effect me too much. It's a large single blade too, just not as big as the GT500

Def not as big, I have both. Shouldn't hold you back much though my only complaint with Dragon was proper sealing to the point the one I have has a little ring of expoxy where the blade meets the body. I got it straight from Stefan (Dragon owner) too that way and he confirmed that was how they were going out at the end. The GT500 just seems to have better feel at lower throttle input.

Edit: 100% sure it's smaller, like just by looking at them. You can force a stock stube over a Dragon. The stock tube fits inside the GT500 TB.

Good to know! I haven't had any issues with sealing with my mine, luckily. Though, it did give me issues installing it the first time since I bought it used with no instructions.

Sorry, made a typo. I meant to say "NOT as big as the GT500"
But now I am really thinking about just porting the blower instead of going the 2.9 whipple route.... Does anyone else run a ported 2.3 vmp in the forum?

I think something went odd towards the end of production, I got the last run. Were out of stock and had to beg to get one since I needed it for my Posi/Dragon setup. Curious to see the difference on the throttle cable cam profile between the Dragon and the GT500. GT500 is bigger but seems more precise and smooth driving around town.

I would have loved a gt500 tb and plenum when i was looking, but everyone wanted too much for them used. I got my dragon tb and plenum for $450 and I was fine with that

When the 2.65 came out they magically got more expensive IIRC.

@SVT_Troy

There are not many people running them, all the cool kids just get big Whipples.
