Lack of airflow to the area causes them to get hot. Plus being overspun and people running tight blower belts. It all adds up.Seriously..
Whats up with terminators eating alternators??

100k is pretty good for these. I think that's about when my stocker died. Of course I'm assuming it was the stocker as it looked original. The car was an upper only eaton most of its life too.I underspun mine (6lb alt on a 4lb lower) and still lost an alt after 100k. Running a reman now. Prob normal wear and tear. But yeah 01yellercobra has diags.
Double check the voltage at idle when you install the KMJ. And make sure the dome light doesn't pulse.Old PA performance unit next to the KMJ Titan. Just waiting for the wiring upgrade to show up

Sweet ride. What size were the OG tires on there?

Nice car OP. Seems like the brakes are a popular upgrade these days.
Once you upgrade you’ll feel the difference. I did the Y2K Cobra R Brembo kit and it’s a night and day difference over the stock brakes. What's up with brake upgrades? Stock work great unless you track it, and then high temp pads will get you deep into the corners.

Sheeeeeit I would've just said "because it's mine and I wanted to, go start your own thread."Because the stock calipers look like shit behind $5,000 CCW wheels. That’s why lol and for $500 it’s a cheap upgrade that looks nice.
Your part of the 1% that tracks these cars. This thing will never see a track, in anyway.
It’s a car to take out on the weekend to shows and something I have wanted for 20 years to look at in the garage lol I hate to say that but it’s the truth. Now when I take it out, it gets beat on don’t get me wrong lol
I would bet 1/2 maybe even 3/4 of the upgrades people do on these cars aren’t required for what they do with them.
Looks great . I really would like to upgrade my brakes. I'm not a fan of the small calipers sitting behind my True Forged Mach 5's. And I honestly think the stock brakes need an improvement. Maybe I'm just use to the awesome brakes on my 19 GT 350. But pushing 700rwhp I feel my current brakes are not enough.Did some ATS brembos with braided lines up front. Huge difference. Can’t wait for the CCWs to get here

I 100% agree with you that the Brembo upgrade not only looks great, however it will perform amazing. I can assure you that I’ve done a bit of 1/4 mile runs, and even 1/2 mile events in my cars. I’ve had upgraded pads, I’ve upgraded my rotors, I had high temp fluid etc. I never felt to confident in it honestly.Because the stock calipers look like shit behind $5,000 CCW wheels.
