i have everything out of my trunk, and front swaybar disconnected.

@ Mobile's Dragstrip I ran a 7.80 @ 84 (60' short) which equals about a 8.15-8.20, the quickest stock is 8.25, i figure if i can get my 60' (which was 1.91) down to 1.89 i can touch 8.10s w/ 12.8ish in the 1/4 maybe, its been done before and i plan on doing it again.

so far my car, full weight, no mods at all heat soaked from the interstate pulled up and ran a 13.2@106 2.1 60', i know its got more in it, but due to the stock tuning from GM, the car pulls TONS of timing from the motor after it gets above a certain temp killing performance. So I figure a good cool down, and some luck I can get into the 12's and maybe, just maybe have a record holding car.

Generally speaking, when i race LS1 cars, 0-50s fairly even with me ahead a half a car, then past 50-60 i start walking off.

keep in mind, that was mobile, its 60' short of a true 1/8 so im look @ 8.10ish. I know I can run 7.7X at mobile with a complete cooldown on my car.
my car is also an auto.

if i have to weld my stock mufflers back in then ill do so, i still have them, i wouldnt figure literally weld'd in mufflers would really count. its the stock factory pipe, just with mufflers.

if its the stock class, then im not anywhere close to where ill need to be to hold a "record"

we'll see what happens

Only one of those STOCK GTOs had a 110MPH trap.

110MPH traps are common for stock terminators...most do 111-114 stock and most run upper 12s. I think the fastest stocker was what a 12.4?

In anycase the terminators ARE faster stock for stock than the 6.0 GTOs...I cant believe people would even try to argue otherwise. That list did the trick.

I actually have 2 friends woth 6.0 GTOs. Neither are stock. one is a auto with a tune and FULL exhaust..ran a 13.2 @ 107. other is a M6 with a catback, filter and a tune at that point and ran the same thing if I recal correctly.

BTW that was the first time to the track in their cars....but that doesnt mean much, as my time in sig is from my very first trip to the track in my 03 cobra.

You have to account for the drivers, not all Cobras run 12.4 stock, that would be the same for me to say ALL 300c SRT8 vehicles run 12.5's because one of them was able to run the number at Atco. average drivers would really have have close races.

From my past experiences, it's a real close race, and i'm not praising myself to be a hardcore driver. i've always asked the Termi drivers what mods did they have everytime i raced one, back when i only had an x pipe, and back when i had full exhaust.

Even around here at Svtperformance, i offered a little challenge to any cobra Owner in the Detroit Area to race my full exhaust GTO (370-380rwhp) against a Termi with CB and CAI, (typically 400rwhp). we did this at Milan to keep it legal and to be able to compare track slips. we ran 4 times, i won 2 and lost 2, in summary it was like this

best out of 4 runs for him : [email protected], 2.06 60'
best out of 4 runs for me: [email protected], 2.10 60'
all runs were pretty closed et and trap wise. DA was around 2500, the difference was 1/4 to 1/2 car if any.

Cobra Owner was using the stock 3.95 pulley, had magnaflow CB and Steeda CAI, i had LT Headers, X pipe and Magnapack mufflers.

The Cobra driver was 03sonicstang, and we did it at a Mustang Track rental day to top it off, so you can bet all the eyes were on my Goat that day. witnesses from svtperformance were JP, dougwg and WhippleCharged Sonic.

This wasn't a battle of slicks/sknnies/suspension/weight reduction with 1.4 60's, etc, etc, but friendly runs between the average 380rwhp Goat- 400rwhp Cobra on the street. the difference in power between my car and 03sonicstang was 20-30rwhp average, pretty much what a stock vs stock Cobra have on a LS2 Goat.

03sonic ran 12.6@113 that night with the 2.93 pulley, (he switched to the stock one to race my car), i managed a best of [email protected] that night as well, but by then we were not racing side by side.

In this scenario, I have to choose the Goat eventhough I own a stang. One of my friend can run consistantly 12.90 in a Goat all day long with slicks (I forget what kind of mod's he has, for sure exhaust).

Theres only 3 cars in the list that trap higher than I did and they had better 60fts off the line.... how are we not comparable? Anyone? I have an average F-Body and I am terrible at shifting/launching (far from a good driver)...

That's not even bringing up the top F-Body times that would compare to this list (A top 25 list)... with cars in the 12s @ 109mph and all over the low 13s (just like this list)

Mods?

It's not really a big shock if you have Tune + CAI...

Of course I don't think anyone is going to be shocked by a modded car beating a stock one.

I have murdered every GT SN-95 or SN-197 mustang ive ever raced. Only thing I've lost to was a pullied Cobra at the track but tree'd him enough to make it an interesting race.

:lol::lol:Bold statement considering your on a mustang forum .....let alone a SVT one! I'm sure your proud of your goat and you should be. It is indeed a respectable performing car....but come on now..... Beating your chest about taking down a few local mild bolt-on GT mustangs in your community would hardly even raise an eyebrow to most here. Your just a big fish in a small pond! Trust me... there are plenty SN-95 or SN-97 mustang GT that would embarrase your ass. I own a modded cobra and would never make a statement like that.

No one murders me yet. It's the other way around.

With a 4.6 I would be shocked.

I wouldn't be shocked if it was a 3.5L/3.6L ... or even a 4.0L Mustang modded...

The simple fact that tune/cai 3Vs have gone high 12s @ 107~108mph says a lot but in today's game anything can be made fast, once something is modded I never count it out and it never shocks me if it beats another stock car.
