Woah woah woah, I wasn't saying a stock LT1 is a race for a Mach 1 in general, I was saying if 4valvemach's M1 is running 13.89 @ 101 as it says in his sig, he shouldn't be talking too much trash about giving LT1s car lengths considering very MINOR bolt-ons will give many of them the win in that race.

Obviously a stock Mach 1 is quicker and faster than a stock LT1, assuming it doesn't have the WORST driver in the world behind the wheel.

Nice kill. I'm sure a stock Mach1 vs a stock 6 speed LT1 would slightly go towards the Mach1. I have great runs with bolt-on Mach's and both times I've driven up to the track with guys that own Mach's we all left with respect for each other's cars. My 3.73's and mods keep my car stronger up-top than most LT1's. I laugh when telling people about my 'baby-cam' because intake and headers added almost as much rwhp as the hotcam did lmfao.

There shouldn't be any debate here. A well driven stock Mach 1 up here will trap 103-104mph stock. A well driven stock LT1 up here will trap ~100mph.
Damn right  The LT1 will only be good for the first couple of seconds, after that is just bye bye :lol1:. Facts are facts, you can basically run with a 12 second car from launch and still running 14's but that doesnt mean anything.

Of course, we are with you on this one  But just because you see the times, you cant assume either. Guaranteed that if you were to run where we had the track before, you wouldnt get the times that you would normally get. But I do understand where you are coming from, even then his trap speed did seem kind of low but he already said why. Have to agree with Burnzilla for the first time though on one thing only  he said avg., avg drivers do make those times.

A stock SS LT1 M6 is almost just as fast as a stock Mach 1.

LOL, keep telling yourself that...Ive owned plenty of fbodies and a 5spd mach will destroy a stock SS LT1 M6 . Lt1's generally need cai, catback and headers (and sometimes gears to run low 13's). A well driven stock mach one will do that stock. Machs trap around 104-105...6psd Lt1's are around 101.

Lt1s need all they can get(more trash talk for you:))
I already said my times are from when I first got my car and I was leaving the line at 2k so my times do suck:shrug:.

This would be very diffrent story if we were talking LS1's as I would not give a LS1 owner a inch of a head start!!!!:)

I'd love for someone to line up a stock LT1 Fbody against me in a stock Mach 1 5 speed. I'd put some MAJOR greens down on that race especially if we are talking from a dig.

I wouldn't give us any more than you had to either. That being said I wouldn't offer a Mach 1 any more than an inch unless I knew the driver didn't know what they were doing. ;)

I think you could offer a stock Mach 1 alittle more than an inch and still be ok with the times and mph in your sig.

Just knowing that Mach 1s have pulled off slightly quicker times than I have and not being one to gamble... I still wouldn't. haha Never know.

good kill but not all LT1's with bolt-ons are too bad;) i had intake, FULL exhaust, 3.73's, upgraded clutch 275 rear tires, and a short shifter on mine and raced a full exhaust, intake, geared and tuned later model GT('02 or so, he didn't say year) from a dig it was a drivers race. Whoever got the better launch won it. He got me the first race and i was at his bumper. Every race after that i launched better and took him by a car length. Cool guy, we raced a few times that night and went on our way. i talked to him another time shortly after and asked him what he had done. He liked the 'ol LT1;) Raced what sounded like an exhaust only DSG GT when i took my Z28 to Virginia Beach a couple summers ago and beat him down pretty bad. Like 3 cars... I've only gotten one race against a 4v Mustang and it was a exhaust, intake '99 Cobra. It was from a 70mph roll:D i got beat by 3-4 cars. From a dig it woulda been closer(70+ was not great in the Z) but i woulda still got beat:(

Fry's03SVT was with me for the Yellow GT and the '99 Cobra. The Cobra i raced on the FIRST day i owned the Z28. I was on my way home after buying it and he got next to me and revved. I was by NO means used to the car but it wouldn't have helped change the outcome.

my stock 95 z28 with 163k miles A4 2.73 rear went 8.93@80 1/8th last friday. it spun horribley as well. the conversion says thats a 13.9@100 mph pass. so def a mach 1 should be able to beat me if they can drive halfway decent but you got to give lt1s respect for there bang for the buck. I have about 2k in the car and can run with much more expensive mustangs and such.

Wow thats fair. You make some good points on here. :bored:
And, you do know that LT1 1/8 times are very good for what they are, and in many cases in a Mach's league.

Youre a clown.

Please tell me exactly what you are referring too?
A bolt on LT1 beating/siding a stock/slightly modded Mach 1 is what I am talking about.

Does it make you cry that 1992 Technology keeps up with a Mach 1 with only a few exhaust mods?
This is the only point I am making, besides LT1's being strong in the 1/8. Please contribute something besides "He's an LT1 brownnose!" because again my statements aren't biased, actually very accurate and youre not making any sense at all. :D

yeah right...you do know that the lower quarter mile time for the ls1 also means lower eighth mile times...i mean a stock ls1 still runs 8.6's or in many cases easily better...lt1's do NOT run this stock.
