lets see..... Crown Vic plus $30k in upgrades?? :dw: i guess we're all so used to hating on them that we're surprised to find out people pay this much for them. :read:

It's the one and only car that we still cannot keep enough stock of. We have more TC deliveries than the new latest and greatest model Lincoln MKS.

I never said that they were worth the price or that I would own one. I just don't see how someone could think think a full size luxury car would only cost $24,000? The Navigator can be almost $60K with options. Why is it so much more expensive than the Expy? Same thing for the Cady over the Tahoe. The Caddy can be up to almost $90K IIRC.

To be honest people could have the same opinion of your wheels. I'm not giving you crap about the cost or quality of your wheels at all. I know what your wheels look like first hand, and the quality is amazing. I can see why you ask what you do for the product that you provide. Others might not. They might think "a wheel is a wheel".

Well it is on the panther platform, and it hasn't been updated since 2003. Plus you can get a second hand towncar pretty damn cheap... And ford is going to drop the panther platform next year.

Very true. Aside from trim the platform hasn't changed that much from 98. I think the loss of the line is another one of the reasons why we are seeing more and more them being sold. People are trying to wait to get one of the last ones made so it lasts them longer.

Your Marauder is the only car off that platform that I would even think of owning.

That's freaking crazy!

Not really the same thing, but a situation that could have been bad. When I worked at a Chevy dealership a car came in to get worked on. For some medical reason the guy had to use his left leg to work the pedals so he had a rod from the gas pedal that went behind the brake pedal to an alternate gas pedal where the clutch pedal would be in a stick car. No one told me this and the floor mat had gotten bunched up over the secondary gas pedal. I had no clue it was there and put my feet down (no clue that I was holding down the gas with me left foot) and started the car. It was in park so it didn't move, but it immediately started bouncing off the limiter. Could have been damn expensive if it had blown. Way to forget to tell us about your second gas pedal :bash:

Re:

OMFG!!! Dude...um...put the guy out to pasture. Unbelievable.

Somewhat related, I was a porter when I was young, and managed to back into another porter crossing behind me (who I thought was stopping for me) - this on my first day of work. Yeah...customer enjoyed that phone call.

Thank you that is the most retarded post I've seen all day.

D.W.O. Driving While Old. I've heard a few insurance adjusters and LEO using that term. Thats some scary shit. My brothers '92 LX 5oh coupe was destroyed by an old lady who couldn't tell what a stop sign was.

I'm always afraid of something like that happening where my car is involved. Its not the money put into it, its the TIME. I'll never get back how much time was spent on the car.

For work, I drive the Executive L Town Cars. They're not that bad. Also, the company I work for has supposedly fanagled a deal with FoMoCo to have the L's custom built for them for another two years. But of course, when it's the largest limo company in the world, stuff like that can happen.

I drive through Sun City, AZ everyday to-and-from work. For those not familiar with what that means, Sun City is retirement city, where they require you to be 55 or older to purchase a home.

What the OP encountered is one of my biggest fears on a daily basis.
