Your opinion is just that. Yours. For those that aren't you there are other options out there that are better.

The fact of the matter is you chime in on any GT or 2V thread with your opinion that they suck in one way or another.

There are many fast 2V cars out there and a lot of the 2V base cars are extremely nice as is the case with the Saleen in my possession.

Just because it isn't a 4V doesn't mean your pick-me-up truck can keep up.

Very true, its just my opinion and nothing more. What I think doesn't make any car more or less than what it really is.

thanks for backing me up guys its really not fast, its just the gearing helps me ALOT with faster cars with low rolls i set the car up for dig racing only but some how i get talked into doing rolls,

It's not about the fact that you can buy a turd for $1K and make it faster than many of the cars on the street, but the fact that a 2V has as much potential as a 4V.

You can make a skateboard fast if you power it with a LS1.

Just stop hating on the 2V cause it isn't a 4V like you prefer. :poke:

Well yes I went there, seeing how you brought cost into play. You can build a 2V Gt that will run down a stock cobra for alot less money than it would cost to buy a cobra.

Yes, starting with a car that you can slap a big CI motor with is cool, but on the same end of the spectrum you can throw a 5.1L KB setup in the 2V. Ya get where im going here??

It really amazes me that there is this much controversy on a MUSTANG website. You would think that people would be able to get along with their own "species" so to speak. Save the BS for the chevy guys and the import owners lol.

It's very nice to see you post this. I'm well aware that most of the 2V hate is simply heckling, but some folks have a 2V and are proud of what they have. :beer:

I'm a Blue Oval man so I don't give a dam whether it's a 2v or 4V (Ford is Ford) For a 2v, my car has enough power to dust some of the 4V termi so why argue.

The 2V's do get a bad name, but more often than not its b/c of idiots that do not know what they are doing and just slap things on it, and mis-match parts. They are a tough platform if you plan on staying N/A, but once FI/N20 comes into play, they wake right up!

My 02 GT that I had before my cobra was on a built moter and a 125 shot and it would have stomped my Cobra's ass when it was stock. Now it would be a different story but they can be fast if done right.

Exactly my point. I always found it wierd when the 4V guys didnt get along with the 2V guys, or the 5.0 boys didnt like the modular guys. Its like cmon man, were on the same ****in team here! lol. :beer:

u mean like any motor ever made? wow, impressive. 2V's are dogs. running 14's and 15's in the quarter is not impressive. u need a shot on that 2v to do anything, race those people without the shot and your car is nothing. sorry. and the money argument is stupid. i like it more when a car can move out without spray. i could gut my buick century and put a 250shot on it and beat u, does that make it an "impressive platform?"

14's and 15's?

99-04 2V's are capable of 13's in stock trim. Mine went 14.8 completely stock in 8,000 ft DA......corrected was 13.8. That is not bad for a 225rwhp 3400-3500lb car if you ask me.

I had it easily into the 12's N/A with a couple mods, including 4.10 gears. Easy 11's with 100 shot.

IMO, the 2V platform is better then the 5.0 platform. And we all know that those little 5.0's are a pretty good little engine.

Does it sound like im talking out my ass? You're bragging about 7s and 8s in a 1/8 and 12-14s in a 1/4. I could unplug 2 ignition wires and still run better than a 14 on my DAILY DRIVER. There is no need to take it to a PM, afterall every car associated with you is fast right? Let me ask you this, since when is running 12s fast?:??: The term fast gets misused alot, I don't call my car fast because there are many many cars out there that would make mine look like a festiva.

yep. how fast were the 94-95's? how bout the 96-98's? yea, slow as f**k. even the S197's are underpowered but they pick up a lot with simple stuff. and new edge GT's were capable of HIGH 13's at best stock. if u want a 2v get a chevy. 281 cubes with 2v's and shitty head flow does nothing.

2v mod motors are a waste of time for the money u put into them to make them fast go 3v or 4v and just run that much faster. and when u say they are cheaper, well get a fox, thats cheaper yet.

by non pi heads i think he meant before the horses were bumped up in late 01-04.. thats good for a 2v though makes me wish i didnt buy a vortech lol

I completely agree again. LOL


The 2v mod motor is about as useful as a factory 5.0 block.

Really? Here is what my mild 5.0 makes N/A. How much does your 2v mod motor make N/A?
