so why don't you gut it to see what you could run. You already proved you could hit 9's full weight. Just a thought. congratz.

Omg that is sweet!

Can you please share your front coil over setup? Shocks + springs (load).

I have tried three different coil over setups and Im still not happy.

That's awesome. You've got a sick car there. Gotta love TTs. Best of luck in the future with that bad boy!

What rpm are you launching of the transbrake? It doesn't even look like you tried to launch at all.

You must have some really mad power when that boost kicks in!

how much power are you putting down through the auto ??

Not really sure. We pulled on a Mustang dyno with the auto and boost set at 21 pounds. At 5900 RPM, it spun, and we lost the data beyond that point. At that RPM, it was at 790 RWHP (and climbing) and 820 torque. Never tried higher boost.... it would have been pointless.

It put down 948 RWHP on Evolution's Mustang Dyno with 27 pounds when I had the T56.

Congrats again, bro!

What does your car weigh in at?

Right at 3700 lbs. Nothing has been removed from the car except for the following:

-Supercharger/Intercooler/Heat Exchanger/Intercooler Reservoir and plumbing (and replaced with the turbo kit obviously). I have no idea what that weight difference is.
-Teksid block (saves a little weight over the iron block)
-Solid axle (saves a little weight over the IRS)
-TH400 (pretty close in weight to the T56)
-Bogarts
-K member and coilovers

Everything else is still in the car. Seats front and back, A/C, power steering, locks, airbags, stereo and rear Mach460 deck, carpet, insulation, all of it. Nothing removed specifically for weight savings.

Thanks man. Getting up a little more on the converter and building a bit more boost will help. Prior to racing that night, I knew I'd be running a bit more boost, so I turned the fuel pressure regulator up a bit to ensure fuel would be there. In hindsight, I shouldn't have messed with it because it really richened EVERYTHING up... especially down low....which meant the car was a little "boggy" while on the Tbrake... whereas usually, it pushes the converter pretty hard, gets up in the RPM, and builds boost well. I'll back it down for the next outing, and see what this suspension can do.

The Strange coilovers up front made a WORLD of difference.

so why don't you gut it to see what you could run. You already proved you could hit 9's full weight. Just a thought. congratz.
My car is a street car. I drive it on the street ALL the time. On nice days, I drive 70 miles round trip to/from work.

I absolutely HATE gutted street cars, and I won't rip everything out of the car just to see what it does, as it isn't an accurate representation of what the car is.

Omg that is sweet!

Can you please share your front coil over setup? Shocks + springs (load).

I have tried three different coil over setups and Im still not happy.

Pretty simple really. Strange 10 way adjustable coilover strut setup with 150# springs. Struts set to "2". The rear setup is a strange 10 way adjustable shock set to "4" with 96 Cobra springs.

All rear end components are Baseline. All solid ends. I'm also using Baseline's weld in anti roll bar. Strange 31 spline axles and Strange Spool. 28X12.5x16 ET Streets.

OMG.. nothing more i can say..

There is quite a bit more footage on youtube under my username.

I want your setup...minus the auto.

I never EVER thought I'd put an auto in the car. I hated auto cars, especially Cobras. But I destroyed the T56 THREE TIMES. After the third time, I decided the only alternative would to do the auto... It would live through the abuse, allow me to launch with boost, and give the car the opportunity to run what it should. It was a no brainer after I pulled that T56 out for the 4th time.
What rpm are you launching of the transbrake? It doesn't even look like you tried to launch at all.

You must have some really mad power when that boost kicks in!

On the TBrake, the converter USUALLY flashes to about 3800 RPM and then pretty quickly walks up to 42-4300 RPM and builds as much boost as I want.

However, that night, as I mentioned, I increased the fuel pressure with the regulator, and that richened things up quite a bit. Enough that it made the converter lazy getting up in RPM on the Tbrake. Those launches may have been around 3800 RPM and 4/5/6 pounds of boost.

A buddy told me that after the 60' foot mark when the car REALLY took off, folks in the bleachers stood up to watch, it took off that hard, lol.
