gen 1 heads fit gen 2 short block. gen 1 cams would stay in it unless you want to buy after market. L&M may be what you want for 800-1000 whp. Gen 2 could maybe do that but it will be highly recommended that you get OPGs and crank sprocket. I dont know how long a gen 2 would last at over 800...
@boduke0220 Thank you!
@merkyworks Darn, I was under the impression that these Shelby engines had good parts namely OPGs to start. Not coyote level OPGs. From my understanding, banging the rev limiter and 2 step (dont have) was what broke OPGs. Since I've had it, I've tried to stay off the rev...
Ah gotcha, yeah I almost did a rear seat delete and X brace when the car was an actual V6 hahaha. But ill probably end up saving for some drag shocks to help put the power to the ground since my shocks are nearing 60k miles of abuse.
@Catmonkey @RBB I want to go Lund eventually. I was thinking about LTs with stock mufflers and maybe some vacuum controlled cutouts, but $$$. If insurance gives me more money than I will need, LTs or a TVS could come into the picture. But you add one and then you need injectors so say 1500...
I have heard great things about those Michelins mentioned above, I have had NT555G2 and they work well but wet performance is not good after half tread life, at quarter tread life, I go 60-65 in rain tops. I've ridden in a 2009 GT500 with R888s and those tires are pretty impressive compared to...
In early 2018, I completed a 2007 GT500 swap in my 2008 V6 Mustang. It took me 2 months coming home from school 2 hours away every weekend to work on it. Best thing I ever did and was a great project to do with my dad. I brought the car back down to Columbus after the swap, but had told only...
I'm trying to figure out what I want to do next. Either pulley the hell out of the eaton or find a used TVS. Pretty cool type of vehicle we have. I have people DM me on instagram all the time asking about it saying they want to do the same and think its awesome, every so often I'm told my car...
Regarding tires and axles: for street digs and roll racing, do you think the MT S/S 275s are the right choice? I was looking at the 295s or 15 wides. Would I be asking for a bent axle?
Thanks,
Jacob
This guy is on street tires, no wider than 295. At the track, I have seen these things run high 11s because they cannot hook. That was going to be the weakness he has that I want to make my strength for sure.
