2 Day Old 2020 C8 sad from Florida...

and that is the risk you take with a brand new car if you insure for Actual Cash Value. It's only about $100 to add Total Replacement Cost to your policy. A choice every new car buyer should be aware of.

2 Day Old 2020 C8 sad from Florida...

Better than losing a classic car in a crash. It's a brand new car being manufactured right now. Let the insurance order another one and if the license plates did not get damaged, ONLY the VIN number will be different. Lose a fox or a musclecar and it will most likely NEVER be replaced with the...

    "Spotlight" Video of my Hellcat

A boat. Ray's response is dead on. I've been in a 15 A8. With 3.09 gear and drag radials it goes 10.8 at 127. Been on long drives, short drives, blasts on back roads. Not once was the size of the car a problem. In fact on the open road I'm glad it is not a tiny car. The size is to be...

How to Shift Fast, Is This How You Do It?

You have a good ear Rich, better than my knock sensor. Actually it had no knock sensor, they never heard of knock sensor in those years. It had a distributor with weights and springs and vacuum pod for ignition timing advance. Alot of wrench time to dial that stuff in a truthfully I didn't...

How to Shift Fast, Is This How You Do It?

There are many ways to do it but a lot of it depends on the clutch and transmission. Without disengagement and strong synchronizers, quick will not be possible. A truck, with a heavy disc and wide ratios will need more time to shift gears. vs A light clutch and small transmission like the VW...

    1 million mile Hyundai Elantra

5 years is another key factor here. It may have a ton of miles on it but it has not seen alot of time or cold starts. Try that shit in a Canadian winter and call me at 500,000. I'd also like to know what shit job needs you to drive 500 miles per day?

    Big time crash.

It's the danger of open wheel racing. Her car came in contact with another car and she lost her wheel, lost control and the wings for downforce became wings for flight.

Burnouts encouraged after an afternoon BBQ

The exhaust is a pair of long tube headers, H pipe with catalytic converters and a pair of Flowmaster mufflers. No line lock. You can tell by the way the car jumps forward a few inches. I honed the technique in my 87 Dodge Ram.

Brake problems after 5 lug swap..

Both the 90 and the 93 Cobra master cylinder will work. I've tried both and all the Cobra one does is increase the piston size 1/16". It changes pedal feel slightly but neither one will cause problems.

    Anyone running a battery tender?

Starting a car to charge the battery is not good for the engine. It will not create enough heat to rid of condensation in the crankcase. The procedure will NOT ruin a car after a few cycles but moisture in the engine and exhaust is bad in the long run. By the way, coolant temperature is not oil...
