What position should the bypass solenoid be in at idel? Should it be in the full open position or as it sits with the engine off?

I just completed installing an Innovate Wide Band system (LC-1 and XD-16). When powered up the meter displays three dashes _ . _ . _ and nothing else. When the O2 sensor is pluged in it barely gets warm. Anyone have any ideas of what I missed or forgot? :read:

Must be my brithday as I was just given 6 quarts of Royal Purple 5 W30. The 2002 L asks for 5 W20. Will it hurt anything to run the 30W? I know on older engines, it really did not make much of a difference, but thought I would ask regarding the mod motors.
