To answer your question: My car came with BBK lowering springs. I believe they are a 2" drop? I still have the spring isolators in. No matter what you should lower the car. The height of the car stock is an absolute engineering mistake, and a cheap cop out by Ford. 18's are the perfect size for this car. Don't hesitate to go with them. Mine are 18x9's and 18x10.5 rear, wouldn't go any smaller than 18" it's 2012 for god's sake that's not big anymore.
