Yes I looked into the mach1 crankshaft I can’t find any of the forged ones but I found the 6 bolt cranks that I’m assuming is a cast, they can work in my car correct? Would just need to get the clutch and flywheel obviously to match with. It correct?
I remember reading somewhere that the Lincoln Navigator crank is the same as the 01 cobra forged crank. Can anyone confirm? I had a recent thread about a rebuild and am in need of a new crank. I don’t want to be nearly 3k+ down for a stroker build. If it is possible what years are recommended to...
That doesn’t seem that bad, now my question would be , if I go stroker kit where should I look for one, I know of the eagle brand I believe they’re called, but what kind of piston should I run or the “cc” of them to keep that higher compression for an N/A motor?
The previous owner attempted replacing rod bearings on his own it seems, completely ate away at a part of a journal, I brought it to a few places and was told it wasn’t salvageable
Merry (late) Christmas and hope everyone has a good New Years!! For starters I got the green light from my wife to start throwing $ into rebuilding my cobra lol. I’m here for some advice. I want to go forged internals, but I need a new crankshaft as well, what is a good brand? I got the block...
Rebuilding a 2001 cobra, ISO anything honestly, just tell me what you got! Looking to keep the car N/A for a while so not looking for S/C part applications unless the price is right!!
It’s in time with engine but as I said it’s only past 2000rmp and goes away after 2300rpm, it can be heard at start up, and shifting gears , I have not looked at plugs yet!
My plans are to get a new tensioner and timing chain guides to start, I’m not driving the car till I find the problem and fix it, any other recommendations as what to look for and where else could cause the issue?
