Hey what's up guys I have a high mile terminator that was bone stock when I bought it. I have added a magnaflow catback and would like to throw a cold air intake, upper pulley and tune. I live in mass and would bring it up to pete at performance dyno in NH. Should I just leave it stock or throw a few mods at it? IMG_1553.JPG
Thanks Fred

I'd at least have a compression test done and maybe a leak down as well. If they pass have fun with the mods.

Agree with above. Have a leak down test done on it. If all cylinders show ~20% or less then mod it however you like. These engines can take a beating as long as they're kept up right and have a good tune.

I agree with the guys above. I bought a 76K mile termi and we did leak down and compression test to find a blown head gasket. It was damaged between the cylinders so no water leaked and no over heating. Car ran great like that too. Got some good stuff in the works now.

Mine is still stock..twice the mileage..

im still seeing 180 to 195 psi on just compression test

I just dont see the need to go crazy unless your racing it..or bragging

its hard enough to to fly around stock

I feel the engine can hold alittle extra..but drivibily may start to be an issue ..

than more power equals more broken parts..

2.93 pulley..cold air..long tube headers..off road pipe..373s..big rear tires

car is a blast

I bought mine with just over 100k, 4 years later it 203K, I drive the hell out of mine don't want no regrets when I'm 80 yrs old saying I wish I drove it more. anyway I have all the modes short of a new blower which I'm looking at next yr. I had it dyno this yr and putting 470hp and 466tq to the re-wheel. I did do a compression test and all cyl were around 180-190. Now I've been told by other owners/mech these motors run their best with high miles, loosing them up, I tend to agree. I run the crap out of my with no worries, the dam car is strong doesn't burn a drop of oil. I am looking to over haul end of next yrs. enjoy it that's what I say
