I would think raising it would increase the gap between the hood and bumper weather strip allowing more air under the hood.
You don't raise it to the point of it lifting the hood..just to the point where it puts pressure on the hood to hold it in place.

Yeah no thats counter intuitive. Pre raising the hood or putting pressure on the rubber stoppers will do nothing when the air pressure just lifts the hood up off of them anyway. Makes no sense, sorry. We need some pics and video before calling this solved. But in my opinion, raising the hood will increase the gap, making it easier for the hood to be lifted.

Hood struts on the other hand, sound like they might work. They will resist the hood from being lifted. That sounds more plausable.

I had very little hood movement, i just installed redline hood struts and i noticed when i popped the hood there is immediate resistance, which leads to believe it has stopped my hood from moving all together. I have not noticed any movement since then!

guy, this happen to me too. Just adjust the hood rubber stops on the front. I raised mine a lil and that's it. fixed.. What amazes me is no one here had thought about it. I gues that shows a lot about you mechs skill:rolling:s. lmaooo

I drive an EcoBoost and I had the same problem with hood vibrating at high speeds. To be honest it was a bit frightening! I also had hood alignment issues with the front bumper. Like you suggested, I adjusted the hood rubber stops and both problems were solved. I could not imagine that it was so simple. Thanks for the post!
