What's crazy is the fact that they might actually get some money out of that suit, just because Ford might try to settle out of court... lol

Murica!

And the next mustang only costs another 300-400 extra for it. Sucks

This won't go anywhere more than likely. I do think Ford should offer some of the track package options on the tech package to combat this in the future.

Well, as someone who is salty by obvious manufacturing defects in his hood that ford won't replace, I hope they get paid.

Though I do wonder if the first year GT350s had the same disclaimer about tracking it that was printed in that obviously later publication(since it refers to 2017s also).

I would assume this lawsuit won't go anywhere, but It probably comes down to what Ford said about the car in official adds and statements back in 15.

But really, c'mon guys....How many people that bought one actually have used it on the track....and out of those how many have actually had a problem with the car. It really sounds like somebody wanting something for nothing or either somebody is butt-hurt because the newness of the car has worn off and they realize they over payed for an over-hyped car

Its crazy to me that people get caught up in the manufacturer hate game, just because of some simple defects here and there.

The way I look at it is, there would be no way in hell that Id be able to build/have a cool car such as these, if it werent for them.

If you buy a car, take it to a track to beat the crap out if it, Id expect some type of complication.

Its like me taking my 14' to the 1/4 with slicks and busting an axle, then turning around and suing Ford for misrepresentation/defect.

not at my post...
^^^^pretty much this!! Now if the rear-ends and tranmissions were over heating and failing under normal driving conditions, then they'd have a legitimate beef with Ford...shit can happen when you beat your car like a rented mule, own it...

Can I sue Ford for putting that awful clutch pedal spring in? It hurt my feelings when I stalled out because of it catapulting my foot off the pedal. My feelings are worth $18M per feel episode.

I'll see you in court, FoMoCo!

The issue is pretty much a given with non-track pack cars from what I have read. The cars will have heat issues unless run on a cool or cold day.
I had a track pack 16 GT350 on order. When I placed the order I was well aware that the track pack car had all the coolers. Ford decided that the cars with leather and all the fancy tech shouldn't be on the track pack cars.... So potential owners had to make a decision..... A track ready car, or a street tech car. For me, the track pack was the way to go. Unfortunately most dealers ordered Tech pack cars. As a result there are more than 10-1 tech pack to track pack cars out there from '16.

Isn't the TP standard now on all '17 gt350's?

Yes. But it was a choice for '15 and '16. You could get a base model, track pack, or tech pack. You couldn't get both packages. So any early adopters got "screwed" even though they should have known what they were buying.

Sounds like these people are just trying to get the $$$ they spent over MSRP for these cars back trollololol

^^^Beat me to it. haha But seriously, I have not met an owner that has been blown away by the cars performance. Sounds like buyer's remorse to me.

Of course they aren't. It's a track car, and just like many people here they convinced themselves they gave two craps about how well it turns while never intending to take it to the track.

I could care less about track performance. There isn't one near me, I wouldn't pay that kinda cash to beat the hell out of a car like that, and there isn't a modern sports car/muscle car that doesn't already handle so well I will never use 10/10ths.

I was pretty blow away from its performance when I drove it. Plenty of power and dat road feel doe! No other car has even came close in handling feel.

If it wasnt for the ridiculous mark ups, I would have probably gotten one instead of my 500.

Speaking of mark ups, a local dealer had a 2016 for well over a year with a $10k mark up and it never sold. They are now selling it for MSRP. Gotta love it!
