VERY fortunate there were no critical injuries or worse. He definitely had the speed to kill someone. One victim crushed the windshield.

It's one thing to drive fast out of a car meet, another thing to disable traction control, then possibly press/hold another button to disable stability control... with the hope that what, you'll be able to do a tiny powerslide to try to impress the crowd? Crazy stuff.

The "best" car meet crash I've seen was a subaru meet in Queens NY years ago. An STi got airborn going into the parking lot, clipped a oak tree, destroying the entire front end & side of the car. The driver, a high school age girl climbs out after the impact with a stunned look on her face telling everyone she tried to drift the car... then the passenger climbs out, starts screaming at the top of his lungs (we thought they had hit someone)... Turns out neither the passenger or driver actually own the car! It's the passenger's friends car he borrowed, and he let the girl drive it to impress her.

Boise doesn't have much of a car culture and I'm not sure how many, if any, cars and coffees happened there before this.
We've had cars and coffee for a couple years. It's been getting bigger here.

When i was stationed at Mt.Home AFB , in the early 80's , Boise had a big car culture.
Police would barricad off the entire downtown streets , for us to stop light race and drink beer . From 7 -12 every Friday and Saturday night , was a one way street going each direction .
Never had any wrecks , nor people getting run over .
I think people are just dumber these days , and can not drive .
Only so much you can learn from a video game .
Downtown is getting ruined. Idiot ricers racing stoplight to stoplight (some idiot totalled his focus st downtown the other weekend racing). Now businesses have been complaining. The mayor has been trying to crackdown. So pretty much any car with loud exhaust will get ticketed on a friday/Saturday night. PD has been handing out tickets like candy.

I went looking for them and couldn't find one. I lived in the area until a couple weeks ago and I never heard about any of these. I didn't say Boise has no car scene, the fairgrounds car show is fun and Firebird and Meridian Raceway stay in biz, but it's small compared to most cities of similar size.

As many of you, I've been to Cars and Coffee. The innocent bystanders are there to shoot videos of the cars doing burnouts leaving. I feel no pity for stupidity. This is no different than the tons of idiots that crowd around cars at a no prep or street race. Shit is going to happen, it's not if it's when.

What they need to do now is invite the police to the next events.

FlahDah man.
It's kinda like all these women teachers that keep ****ing their students. They must not watch the news, browse the Internet etc...it's as if they are oblivious to the fact they will get caught. Just like these car and coffees, shows etc...Why tempt fate? The juice is not worth the squeeze, stakes are too high.
I had a couple teachers that I wanted to do. Before the tiny camera era.

Haha I'm seriously asking, do people get jail time or just lose their license?
