I think gt500’s will be in garages by November 2018.
November 15, like I said to today is just over 2 years. If the 19 GT500 comes out Nov. 2018 or before it’s 3 years or less.I’ve been told that ford started working on the GT500 at the end of 2015. It will not come until mid to later next year. That is 3.5+years, before people will start getting them. Most won’t see them for 4+ as orders get filled.
That is only an explanation of a self imposed limitation of why we have not had a new GT500 in 4 years. May even be considered a straw man.
Has there been a GT500 since 2014? No. Is a GT500 the same as a GT350? No.
While I understand that FP has limited resources, they still have not produced a GT500 since 2014. I understand that there may be a "reason", but it doesn't change the facts.
ADM's die down? Now that is funny.I’m totally fine with it not showing up until late 2019.
My Hellcat will be five years old in 2021 (about when I usually get the itch to move into something new).
Maybe the ADM’s will have died down by then or I’ll be able to pick up a low miles used one reasonably.

When I was at the Dodge dealer on Friday, looking at a 2018 Demon they just got in, I was told the car was sold at MSRP.
I wish I could find a Ford dealer that would sale me a 2019 GT500 for MSRP, but after the GT350 was released all hope of finding a car at MSRP was dashed on the rocks due to ADM's. All the dealers that had always sold GT500's for MSRP, including the one I bought my 2013 from, were now charging $10,000 to $20,000 ADM's on the GT350's. Since none of them has had a GT350R for sale, who knows how high the ADM would have been for that car.
I was told by 2 of the dealers that there would be at least a $10,000 ADM applied to any 2019 GT500's they sold.
By the way, the 2018 Demon was beautiful in person. With the drag radials on all 4 corners, it looked like it was setup for Daytona or Road Course work rather than drag racing. The fender flares look very nice in person. I did not care for them in the magazine shots.
If I were 30 years younger I would have bought it, problem is if I was 30 years younger I wouldn't have been able to afford it.
The way the demon builds were scheduled by price was ingenious
Dang, thats freaking nuts!I also found out that the Demon Crate ($1) and the Demon Authentication Package, also $1, could only be ordered 2 days after the sell and only by the purchaser. The crate is delivered to the customers house or address designated by the customer. The customer has to order it directly through Dodge. There is a lot of neat stuff in that crate.
I found a YouTube video on the Demon Crate.

FC, in general, seems to have figured out how to somewhat combat ADM’s.
If I’m not mistaken, with the trackhawk they instituted some type of policy where dealers had to have their initial allocations sold by a certain date or they couldn’t get more.
Pretty sure a substantial chunk of trackhawks sold at MSRP from day one.

Now the Trackhawks are on hold until a fuel line issue is fixed.
.
Agreed. Not sure everyone on here knows the story, but any Demons sold with ADM would go to the back of the build line. The way the demon builds were scheduled by price was ingenious
I don't want to ruin the "crap on Ford" thing, but Ford has had something similar for a while.Agreed. Not sure everyone on here knows the story, but any Demons sold with ADM would go to the back of the build line.
The day the Demon order banks opened, a lot of guys bought at MSRP and even a few paid less than MSRP as dealers wanted to get one of the first builds.
Cool move by Dodge, I know a few guys ordered 2 Demons at MSRP and were selling one for more. Other than that, it was a good concept that actually allowed enthusiasts to buy at fair MSRP pricing.
I turned down an MSRP Demon as I want the next GT500 but that would have been a cool experience.
I don't expect anything similar from Ford, but the ADM issue does sour the experience.
