Its a good kit. I believe JDM recommends having the bores honed. On a 2011 block, due to the spray on liners, you would have very little wiggle room in tolerance.
I have read that the spray on liners Ford installed are EXTREMELY durable, and a little harder than the steel found in press in liners. Theoretically if professional inspection of the liners finds that the cross hatch is intact, and its determined that there is no ovaling of the bores, honing likely isnt necessary.
However, its always best to consult with Ford Racing and your engine builder before making any final decisions. After inspection you may find that you need to have press in liners installed.
At that point an aluminum block with the liners already installed might be a better option.
So the factory block can be honed .001"-.0015" which is what these pistons require for fitment. You have to use a diamond hone tool to do so because the liners are very strong. Ford decided to switch to the spray in liners because of the weight savings and they are stronger. However it's very thin (.006-.007" thick) so you can't remove much material from the wall.
