Help. Went for oil change at dealer. They said they see signs of a leaking differential.

Yes, but that's probably not the issue. There's not a whole lot of things that could damage that seal once it's bonded. I think the fitting has to be replaced. This is for the cooler lines that plug into the inspection cover. It probably only leaks when oil is circulating through the pump, if you see no evidence of a leak. I've seen a thread somewhere with a part number. I'll see if I can find it.

No, I found the thread, but the solution was cleaning and retightening the lines. I found quite a few threads with the complaint, but no one ever really posting the resolution. Perhaps one of those guys will chime in.

If it ends up being the cover that's leaking, consider redoing with a Lubelocker gasket. Much cleaner than using silicone, much less room for installer error, and the car can be put back into service immediately.

Worked like a charm for me, and no leaks despite my gear installing scratching up the surface when he pried off the cover. >:

I think Track pack cars had fittings leaking at times.
Do you ever see drops in the garage?
Sounds like a reason to make the best mod you can after tires....gears :)
