I am currently using Allstar 42151. This stuff is very, very stiff. If you are running brake ducts, what hose are you running that you like? This will be mostly for HPDE. Almost no regular street driving.

Thanks for the link. I ended up ordering some of the Mishimoto MMHOSE-D3. I am running the Lambert Automotive Performance Parts ducts (that used to be Quantum but I think both are out of business now). I had routed my ducting the way I thought would be cleanest. But I am hitting the tire at full lock. With the hose pulled down and as far back toward the engine (below the sway bar) I can clear the tire but still hitting the rim at full lock like was noted on the link provided. The ducts are Lambert Automotive Performance P/N 04810ST. The rims are 17x9. The only way I think I can get the clearance to the rim is either go up to 18's or use spacers. Also, now that I will have more fresh hose to work with I can try some different routing. Like I mentioned, the Allstar hose isn't very forgiving. Hopefully, the Mishimoto will be a little more user friendly. Bummer that I will have to pull the bumper and everything off again to refit the new hose.

Ive always liked the idea of brake cooling but never pursued it.
I've seen the Kenny Brown kit and it looks like its still available for purchase.

Does anyone have first hand experience with this kit? It may be time to go ahead with it since I'm upgrading my front brakes.

I have ducts on all three of my cobras. They are a must if you track the car.
Have used both lambert and kb, they are comparable, slight differences in install.
All brake ducts will have a life cycle and will need to be replaced occasionally. Passenger side seems to get crushed by suspension more for some reason...
Search internet some ducts can be found cheaper. Don’t worry about heat resistance, worry about flexibility and rebound that’s what make mine eventually fail

I have the kit but haven’t installed it yet, waiting to do it when I swap my calipers. I picked it up because it looks to do a nice job of shooting to the inside center of the rotor.

I currently run a kit made by someone from the RoadRacing side of this forum years ago. Also with the Allstar hose linked in OP with 00R calipers.

After 6 months I am back on this project for my 2003. I am now using 3” mishimoto hose. It’s a bit more forgiving. However, I am still having issues with clearance. I used some 1/2” wheel spacers and that helped with the tire clearance. But I am still hitting the rim at full lock. If I try to tuck the hose away any tighter, it gets completely crushed / collapsed. My rims are 17x9 Cobra R reps. Man, I hate to go buy 18" rims just to get ducts to work.

Does anyone have pictures of a new edge’s brake duct routing?? I’ve searched and searched but can’t find any good images.

I gotta be missing something.

That’s a nice kit! Oval to push the air to the center of the disc instead of partially on the pad and partially to the center. That will make for better- more even brake pad wear

Got it as good as possible. It clears the rim now at full inward lock. I don't know how much airflow there will actually be but it is what it is right now. The hose is Mishimoto MMHOSE-D3. While it is a bit more flexible than the Allstar 42151, it really is kind of garbage. The red coating rubs of like pencil eraser. You can see in the pictures that the metal spiral has already busted through and this is only with testing lock to lock. I purchased from Amazon so it is quite possible that this is knock off. I found a Chinese logo on it with Chinese writing (that doesn't really mean anything to authenticity is suppose). I thought this was supposed to be double-ply woven fiberglass.

I have my old Allstar hose and tried to get the same bends. It just cant do it. The Allstar is definitely a superior built product though.

Here is how it looks at full inward lock
