Got a set of these I think, got them from a local shop before Harbor Freight was a thing around here. Seem very sturdy, OTC makes decent stuff from my experience.

Then what do you suggest? Was there an indicator before that HF stands sucked? If there was I did not see it.
I use forged stands myself.

Seriously, everyone knows harbor freight is low end, but yes there should have been some safety standards.

Just under 2 million stands affected. Wow! I bought stands just last year and almost bought Pittsburg. Glad I didn't.

Thats because when craftsman tried squeezing every dime out of their tools they began using the same manufacturers as HF. That's when the quality really went downhill.

Even some of the last USA made tools have massive issues. I have 2 sets of wrenches (1 given to me) that have either extremely wide tolerances and slip or are to narrow to fit the intended bolt.
