From the 2019 FBI Uniform Crime Report.

10 million = number of arrests in the US
1,004 = number of civilians shot by police
41 = number of unarmed civilians shot by police
19 = number of white unarmed civilians shot by police
9 = number of black unarmed civilians shot by police
89 = number of police killed in the line of duty

Take the fake outrage and shove it up your collective asses.

I am forced to ask how does this in any way minimize the righteous outrage brought by the George Floyd situation and the spot light it has brought to disproportionate police violence to the African American community?

It doesn't. But the narrative is these incidents ONLY happen to black men and it is just not true.

The spot light its has brought to disproportionate police violence to African American communities? That made me lol literally!

Explain what disproportionate police violence means exactly? Can u? Cause that would mean u would have to site statistics and id like to see ur statistics on how the Police are "Disproportionately" targeting black communities with "Violence".

Or is it according to you its not that black communities are engaged in more crime and therefore the Police will have more negative interaction with them, its simply that the Police are driving thru these black communities and singling out black people and violating their civil rights with violence cause ya know they're "Black".

Ur whole "Spot light" thing still has me laughing smh..... Insinuating that Police Violence is going up and has been and we need to bring this to everyones attention like a snowflake and put the "Spot light" on it! Again, has me LOL. Dude, Police violence is about 80% less than what it use to be in the black communities. Ur so absolutely clueless its comical!

If you look at the statistics white officers shoot and kill more white people than anyone else yearly.

Accounting for relative population size, african americans are 300% more likely than whites to be killed by police and 130% more likely to be unarmed when that happens.

Edit: Went hunting for my source on that info knowing someone would ask. GOOD NEWS! My info was old. Based on the 2019 data, its now down to only 250% more likely to be killed by police. -_-

The real tragedy is that police kill so many people like this every year that something like this can get lost in the shuffle at all. And frankly, if you spoke with the average protester or police reform advocate, they would say this is a tragedy that never should have happened at all. Because the thing is that while all this started as a racial justice movement, the end goals of reforming police use of force, practice, procedures, and the systems for holding police accountable help bring justice to all victims of police brutality, regardless of race.

To take that and move forward, OP's post and the other examples of people dying in police custody with little regard to human life is a perfect example of what's wrong. George Floyd is just one. Some people want to discuss color, but the reality is this type of things happen to people of all sorts. It disproportionately happens to lower and middle class Americans more.

Couple that with police across the country generally uniting to protect private property and not people during the protests... it goes to show you Police only exist to serve as revenue grabbers and to protect private property rights. Which only serves the best interest of the wealthy. Control the masses, keep them in line, protect our money, and support yourself so we don't have to pay for it.
